Sketer XP 4S RTR

An Entirely New Level of 1/10 Monster Truck Performance and Durability

The new Sketer XP 4WD 1/10 Scale Brushless Monster Truck from Team Corally delivers a performance experience like no other vehicle. With a 4S battery, enjoy effortless wheelies when earthbound and backflips when airborne. If a nimbler and more responsive feel is preferred, drop in a 3S pack for a truly satisfying and unique driving experience.

Using a fresh, innovative design approach toward a blend of versatility and performance while remaining remarkably durable, the Sketer platform designers emphasized chassis strength and stiffness, ideal suspension travel and spring/dampener rates, and convenience details like wire routing and convenient component cooling. Using heavy-duty, overqualified components like the Torox 135 2-4S programmable ESC with low voltage LiPo protection and Kuron 725 2150Kv 4-pole brushless motor from the larger 1/8 scale Radix 4 buggy, the Sketer emphasizes best-in-class innovation and execution. Why settle for basically acceptable or merely adequate?

Not only are the electronics considered best-in-class, but the driveline and differential components are either exactly the same part or at minimum the same material as used in Team Corally RTR 1/8-scale 6S machines. If you're looking for large-scale performance in a 1/10-scale monster bashing/stunt truck, look no further than the Sketer XP from Team Corally!

Driving in any season, anytime, anywhere

The Team Corally Sketer XP is equipped with water resistant electronics, making it ready for use in most conditions. Not only is the ESC resistant to splashing water and mud, but the steering servo and receiver are also weatherproofed by special water-resistant PCB coatings. Further protection and resistance to dirt, rocks, and moisture is provided by the innovative chassis splash guard system. Of course, the Sketer comes standard with high quality ball bearings with rubber seals, which means you can drive virtually anywhere and under most conditions.
(Please note that no RC vehicle should be driven or submerged in water or mud. Be careful when driving in extreme conditions, and proper maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating, should be performed after driven in mud, water or near salt water.)

Unique Front Chassis Brace System
The innovative front chassis brace design strengthens, supports, and connects the steering bellcranks, front bulkhead, and front shock tower into one super-strong assembly for unmatched durability and reliability. The optimal combination of aluminum and composite components allows drivers to bash with confidence knowing that the Sketer is prepared to dominate anything in its path.

Center Chassis Brace
An innovative and robust 2-piece center brace connects the bulkheads and shock towers together with durable 12mm aluminium tubes and composite sockets to create a "backbone" of enormous strength and durability between the brace and the shock tower.

Massive Chassis Dirt/Moisture Guard
The Sketer employs a rigid, tall-sided chassis guard that serves to both protect components and maintain rigidity. The high sides keep dirt, rocks, and moisture away from the motor, ESC, battery pack and fans, while a new larger receiver box with convenient cable management system delivers a tidy look to your machine.

Adjustable Wheelie Bar
The Sketer features an adjustable, mono-roller wheelie bar with multiple position choices for optimized acceleration or maximum wheelie angle at launch. The roller wheel is ball-bearing supported and delivers maximum durability thanks to its compact design.

Bulletproof, Heavy-Duty Steel Drivetrain
Fitting for a premium bashing monster, the Sketer features front, center, and rear silicone fluid-filled and sealed bevel gear differentials that deliver the full amount of available power to the ground from the 2150KV Kuron 725 motor. With easy removal and maintenance, you can even alter each differential individually to fine-tune the amount of traction in front or rear! Inside, you'll find a complete set of metal gears and Swiss-steel outdrive cups that connect to steel driveshafts. The front end of the Sketer feature hardened-steel CVD driveshafts for performance, durability, and maximum suspension travel, while the entire drivetrain is supported by high-quality 8x16x5mm rubber sealed ball bearings for minimum rolling resistance and maximum efficiency.

Just looks like the Kraton 4s to me with a sprinkling of steel parts, not sure why but poor old Corally never seemed popular with folks. Personally I think they offer good value for money

At £450 looks a steal!

Wicked looking, I have to say, but I looked at the website, I didn't do very much digging but as far as I see they only have 4S RC Cars and trucks. I just prefer 3S because I only have a 3S RC truck. I am looking for a new rc truck to add to my very small collection of one rc truck. But I want one that will last forever. I am definitely looking at the Radix 4 XP RTR.

I was gonna say, i'm a bit concerned that people think this is a steal.

It's not necessarily overpriced, but £450 for a 4s truck is pretty steep. Not as stupendously overpriced as the Maxx, but still way out there. Not saying this is bad, but for that money (or £50 extra) you can get some full fledged 6s trucks. Even from Corally themselves, the Punisher XP 6s is £10 extra, the Hobao Hyper SS as well, the Rival MT8 is the same price, the Corally Shogun 6s is £20 less, so are Dementor, Kronos and Jambo.

If this truck is now considered a steal, i'm done with the hobby. This is only "cheap" compared to the Maxx.

Prices for most things are crazy now.  I was looking at getting a fishtank/stand last year  but now it is up by £300  so £1300 now.

A Radix 4S buggy is £339, this has the same front and rear end based on the spare parts lists. So you're paying £111 for the new chassis, bracing system, ackerman plate and the upgraded cups. Probably some extra cost in the truck wheels and body over a buggy.

But, to save Corally a little. I don't think their prices have risen on the old models like Arrma, Traxxas, Hobao etc which makes my comparison unfair. I'm sure their 2022 6S line will be more expensive.

As others have said the list price for the Associated MT8 is looking very good at the moment.

It looks interesting enough, good release.  But I wouldn't pay 450 for it.  Especially when the previous TC ranges are all now heavily discounted, having seemingly failed (rightly or wrongly) to get many sales...

Also be nice to see something different from TC.  Not just cars that mimic another brands far too closely.

Will all that CNC bling goodness make it as tough or even tougher than the Arrma 3s/4s range?

Personally I think its because they were so lightweight, and 98% (decent) plastic that those Arrma's can take an absolute kicking, IMO they are toughest Arrmas of all.

If it gets some stinking reviews like previous Corally cars, I don't expect it'll be 410 quid for long.

Just want to correct myself and say that I meant the specs look good.  The design of the body on the other hand is hideous 🤣  I mean, what is it actually meant to resemble??

Agreed the back end looks like the front and the front looks as bad as the rear 😂😂😂

Just watched the presentation vid on YouTube and I have to say you do seem like your getting some quality for your money.

Factory decorated body... beauty is only skin deep, but damn! Hopefully the '8th scale durability' will make up for it. Seems like a lot of money, but thats to be the case with just about everything 🤷‍♂️

Liking this, see what people mean about the body though. Looks chunky and tough underneath and a good spec, not sure why Corally don't have a bigger following than they do.
