I haven't. It's sharing the same platform, as are all the 3S BLX models.

Hi All

looking for recomendations for a Baja Beetle shell to fit my Vortex, I like Kamtecs shell but, looking for others.
I think turning it into a bettle will make me love it again 😞

The Proline Volkswagen beetle body is a good looker, I use it on my crawler. Its a 313mm wheelbase so might be a bit long for the Vortex.

got a cheapy FTX Bugsta shell as I've allready spent too much on this truck. Looks OK so far. Had raise the body posts one hole each end & I reckon could do with one or two more but, the extended body post kit would be reqiurerd for that.
Gotta custom some window masks as none where included! 

But, Now I need advice on the Typhon wing conversion. Am I correct in thinking the Typhon wing mounts bolt straight to the Vortex rear end?

Cheapy Ebay wheels, FTX bugsta shell, had to put the body posts at thier highest and flip the rear brackets, trim a bit of the rear to fit the outcast wing an I'm pretty stoaked on the result. Rushed the paint job a bit. Was planning on having black separating the colors but got lazy. 
Now to get it running!!

Cheers! it's based on an old mountain bike team 'Yo Eddy' I lusted after as a teen 😁 Took er oot for a spin today an to get some shots in the sun. Lasted 5 mins till the spur went bald! So next mision is to fit the cheapy chinese metal one I got 🤞

yeah, even had my LMS set it in case i was doing it wrong. I got a cheapo chinese metal one to fit & im gonna put new bearings in the box see if that fixes it. Long story short I drove the life out of it at scale trail east last year, trying to keep up with big ol 1/5 bashers :'D It got a down to the screws rebuild but, It's never run properly since.
