Popular Post Derka
Over the last few months a lot of members have been having fun building cars for speed runs. This is the place for the MSUK Forum Members to have an official thread dedicated to the speed runs. To keep it simple, we will have a 2wd list and a 4wd list. If we need to divide it more than we can. The 'rules' are simple and follow the MSUK-Forum Guide Lines (https://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/forums/topic/3329-site-guidelines/) but with some small additions. How to Enter Please include the following information when you submit a speed run entry: Model of your car and which category it is going into (2wd or 4wd). The top speed in MPH and KPH and measurement evidence as stated in the rules. Your car's setup including: Make, Model, Battery and voltage 2s,3s etc, ESC, Motor, Gearing and Tyres. If I miss a speed run and don't update the tables, please PM me. I'm generally on MSUK at least a few times per day. The Rules Each member can enter as many cars as he/she wants. Speed runs will only be accepted if shown on video. Speed runs must have a body shell mounted on the chassis. Speed runs must be carried out in safe space to do so and must follow current CV19 Guidelines. If you feel I have missed something, please let me know. I'm sure it will naturally evolve over time as and when we encounter things. If the guys (and girls?!) taking part, could post their current best below I will get this started. Remember, its just for fun so enjoy it! 1/12 2wd 1. GMBallistic - 87.58mph - 140kph - Serpent 120 LTX 1/12 4wd 1. pieman5 - 94.17mph/151kph - LC Racing LC12B1 1/10 2wd 1. Redback
Awesome sign me up. Might be worth breaking it down by scale also, they also break it down further by voltages if your doing rankings. 1. Model of your car and which category it is going into (2wd or 4wd). Scale 1:10 - 4wd - FTX Banzai - TC 2. The top speed in MPH and KPH and measurement evidence as stated in the rules. FTX Banzai - PB 80mph - 3s lipo. Data logs & Build Thread. 3. Your car's setup including: Make, Model, Battery, ESC, Motor, Gearing and Tyres. Scale 1:10 - 4wd - FTX Banzai Make: FTX Model: Banzai Battery: 3s 120c 4200mha ESC: XR8 SCT Motor: 3660 4300kv Gearing: 29 -34 Tyres: Sorex Rubber Goal: 50, 60, 70 100mph then 100+ on a track / Rossa. Do we just update our first post or make new ones for the other cars we enter? Thank you. Edited March 16, 2021 by Redback

Popular Post pieman5
My rustler is technically my fastest at 105MPH but the video doesn't show any speed reading. If that doesn't count then this is my next fastest 👍 Car - Custom ducted fan powered streamliner, technically not 2wd or 4wd as its non wheel driven. Top Speed - 98.60, highest of 2 speeds measured within 5% of each other through speed traps as per ROSSA rules. Setup - 90mm Dr Mad Thrust EDF running a 1000kv 4282 motor, Hobbywing Max6 esc and 2x 3300mah 4s 60C in series for 8s. Extra info - Used a ex military radar parachute to slow down, activated by a servo on the 3rd channel. Custom body shell made from 1mm lexan and glued together with Tigerseal. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1641915416068313/permalink/2332511680342013/ Edited March 16, 2021 by pieman5
Derka
Updated original post, please can you also include the voltage or 2s/3s etc. I've pasted the results in with Excel formatting so it looks a little better and easier to read. Excel document has been added to the original post along with a Misc/Custom Builds part.

Oh How Original
I would just do it like they do on Tamiyaclub dude, be easier, just get people to write it in a single line like mine is, then copy and paste, just a bit less work for you and easier to read. Derka
Sorry guys, I've made it even worse on mobile view. Didn't realise till just now I'm back on my phone. I'll re-edit it to just include your forum name, speed and car to keep it simple but if you could continue to include the extra info for your own update posts etc.
Popular Post pieman5
Thought i'd post my fastest mini class (so far) as that's the class i mainly run in. Derka
I got 62mph for the 1/10 rwd in my Tamiya DT03. Cheap action cam crashed so no footage which is annoying. So only a 'un official' for me at the moment 😞 Really struggling to find suitable areas that are wide and long enough without the risk to passers by or cars. Plus this DT03 wanders at speed it's quite a challenge to keep it straight!
Lone-wolf
Guys, very well done on pushing the speed up, i will be with you soon when i get the vantage done, gonna run it at same spot as my mate Ross runs his limitless, its only 4 miles away, i think you all saw the limitless video
Popular Post Derka
Second attempt at recording, this time the camera didn't crash as I forgot to put the SD card in 😂. Luckily had a helper to video it. Popped a 19t pinion on but still stuck at 62-64mph range. Buggy is a real handful and wanders around so much it's a struggle to keep it straight. I have the dual rate turned down to 40% and some negative expo but no real help. Maybe the camber of the road? Will add some timing to the motor to see if it will nudge me higher. I want 70mph out of it to be the fastest official Tamiya rwd car 🤩. Tamiya DT03 HW 10BL120 LRP 4T/8800kV 2s 5300 40c 55t spur 19t pinion Schumacher R&T B30 tyres 62mph/99.7hmh
Stormbringer
respectable speed tho maybe its the servo saver or wheel bearings causing the wandering ?
Derka
Just now, Stormbringer said: respectable speed tho maybe its the servo saver or wheel bearings causing the wandering ? Yep, well impressed. Servo saver was glued together but I rolled it in a later pass and broke the glue so it's back to normal which as you say makes the steering less than ideal. There is so much slop in the front end it's kind of full throttle and hold and hope for the best! Ballooning tyres doesn't help either but it's going to be fun trying to get a few more mph. Curing the wandering would be a big help as it's so unpredictable
