Its a solid axle monster truck, i saw a leak of it on instagram, no pics yet but a listing on horizons site.

Did it say anything about the scale/whether it's electric? Like a name or something?

This looks like a properly well thought out model, from the video below it has the following:

  • 12.9 hex hardware
  • The diffs look genuinely 1/8th size, although I think they are cast rather than cut gears
  • Universals at the front
  • Drop out centre diff

The stamped TVPs aren't quite so pretty but it does look like a quality kit.

But, I'm not going to buy one any time soon. £589 is more than a TRX4, SCX10III, Hobao MT 2 or the 1/8th Arrmas. I'd be more interested if these had a race scene in the UK but that doesn't seem likely any time soon.

Yeah eye watering 😂😂. From wha I can gather £379 for the roller and £589 for the rtr 🙁

On the face of it I'd agree with you, but when you start looking at the very few other 10th scale S/A MT's around, SMT10 (need a lot of upgrades for durability as jumper pointed out), that Cen 150 thing (which appears very fragile and is only brushed), I don't actually think its too way out price wise.  Based on the couple of vids I've seen so far - quality/strength look promising so hopefully not going to need loads of folding thrown at it straight out the box, unlike their last effort the Lasernut.  It's very early days yet I know, and it could still prove to be a bit of a minger, but I think the early signs are good.  And its a bit different, looks great, and seems like its going to be a lot of fun, with a capital F.  So, I'd better start selling/saving...

Even looking at other 10th scale ind' susp' MTs out there like Hoss, Maxx, even Summit, this doesn't look too crazy price wise, assuming when it hits the UK it is around 589 rtr and not 689...

I’d like to think my SMT10 is pretty bulletproof and that owes me less the this rtr which is on Modelsport at £579 ! That’s why I think it’s eye watering but this said this does has a nice few edition but there still both solid axle mt’s and do the same tricks. Can’t see myself ever buying one but that’s because I have the smt10 kit, mind you in all honesty that don’t get used much 😂😂

What spec is your SMT10?

I went builders kit couple of homemade links few cheap bits from China, did buy some Axial HD diffs but haven’t needed them yet and a Hobbywing combo nothing fancy but holds up-to all I throw at it. I don’t run a shell and I had some wheels and tyres already I also don’t use a wheelie bar as I’d rather have the skill in wheeling 😂👍. If I had to do it again the only thing I’d change would be the combo I’d get a cheap goolrc motor and a knockoff sc8 esc more than enough power to get it moving and don’t forget these only hit around 25mph 😂😂

OK that's interesting, what KV is the HW motor?  And are you running 2S or 3S?  Would you say the SMT10 is quite close to the Losi in transmission strength or is the LMT more a 1/8 drivetrain in a 1/10 size rig? Bit like an MT410!

Losi are bragging 1/8 diffs.

Looks good so far, but I gotta get me an SBR first!

I’m running the 4000kv 3660 combo if you want a smt hit me up I could be easily swayed to sell mine I’ve not used any of my RC’s now in months  I’m thinking of selling up to be totally honest
