Fitted the new Exotek Steering set to the Lasernut. Seems very well

made, with full bearings instead of bushings, and looks great too.

seems to have taken the play out of the steering.

Fitted the castle 10amp BEC, this should give the Reefs Raw 500 servo the power it deserves (8.4v), the internal BEC is limited to 6v. I also used the solderseal connectors, you just heat these up with a heat gun, which melts the solder and seals it all up, I then added some coloured heat shrink over the top to tidy it up.

It seemed to sell out fast, I ended up getting it from America, from Amain https://www.amainhobbies.com/exotek-tenacity-hd-steering-set-w-bearings-exo1930/p1154235

there is a German site that has it too

https://www.t2shop.de/epages/61746328.mobile/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61746328/Products/20-1930&Locale=en_GB

Well Worth getting if you can, definitely sharpens up the steering

Fitted some droop screws to the Lasernut, these aren’t specifically for this purpose, but they are an M5 x 7mm steel grub screw with a nylon tip, had to tap the arms, as was just a plain unthreaded hole, but seem to work fine, the nylon should help prevent damaging the chassis.
