Ag100
Just got the new Losi Lasernut today, not my first one though. Opened up the first one to discover missing screws from the body, shock not fitted correctly, both the rear hinge pins out of place, rounded screw on hinge pin holder and the Steering wouldn’t work, needless to say It was sent back, Make It Build it were great and it was all sorted the next day. Now onto the new one, it’s big!, bigger than I thought, but seems really well put together, there seems to be a few teething issues with these, so have made a few upgrade purchases already: New Steering Servo (Reefs Raw 500) Longer Servo Horn. (Reefs) Full uprated bearing set (RC Bearings Uk) New Exotek Metal Steering assembly M4 Nylock serrated wheel nuts RPM Front and Rear skid plate. I will be stripping down and refilling the shocks and diffs too. I actually prefer to build a kit, but liked this as soon as I saw it, so on the basis it will be getting pretty much a full strip down, it’s basically going to be like a build. Ag100
Fitted the new Reefs Raw 500 servo (recommended by @.AJ.), the difference really is night and day, the speed is incredible, the standard servo (Spektrum S614) is not really up to the job, this has huge wheels for a 1/10 car.
Ag100
Put fresh 500cst (40wt) Oil in the shocks, and changed the 8 wheel bearings. Edited November 10, 2020 by Ag100

Ag100
Took out the Center Diff on the Lasernut today, I wanted to check the oil level, it was virtually empty, so rebuilt with 20000cst oil, and fitted two new Bearings from RC Bearings Uk
Ag100
Onto the rear diff now, this wasn’t to bad with regards to the amount of oil, but I replaced anyway with 10000 cst, and changed the bearings, only issue was the grub screw holding the Center drive cup rounded off, so couldn’t replace the bearing there, will need to order a new one, luckily it’s accessible without taking the hole thing apart again.
Ag100
Next the front diff, better again with the amount of oil, but removed and refilled with 10000 cst Oil, managed to get the Center drive cup off this time, so changed the two bearings in the case too, a quick bench test and all is good.

Ag100
Decided to move the receiver, it was stuck to the side of the servo, and it was right in the firing line for any dirt and water, I know it’s waterproof, but though it would be better at the back behind the battery, wiring will be tidied up, but I think it’s much better there. Ag100
I have now replaced most of the original screws, these just seemed too soft, some were already rounded off before I even tried them, I had to drill and use an easy out on one!. I have replaced with some good quality stainless steel ones from ACCU.

Ag100
Painted the little fire extinguisher in the cabin the other day, you can’t really see it, but I think it looks better, want to add a few other scale details to this too.
James.S
That looks great man! 👍 Like you say, you might not be able to see it all that well with the shell on, but it's all about those small finishing touches 👌
Ag100
Removed the stock bumper and replaced with the TEN-SCTE (LOSB2421) front bumper, should give some better protection.
