If you haven't got power to one of the drivetrains, it's either diff. or on the dogbone, one of the pins is missing. I have my eyes on the hobbywing 120A esc and rocket 3674 motor but I have some doubts on the kv rating. Considering it would be a very light 4s rig I'm wondering if 2500kv would be ok or if it's better to stick with a lower 2150kv motor and eventually use a larger pinion gear. What's your thought? Rozzleshnozzle Posted February 2 Share Posted February 2 G'day everyone. Well, I have joined the dark side and acquired a maverick quantum+ xt flux. It has the 100amp esc and is 3s capable. I have been lurking in this part of the forum for a few days now, so I have definitely learnt what I need to get done asap, and what I want to put on the list of bits and pieces I need to buy for the future. I've only put 2 packs through it at the moment, and only today, on the second pack did I get a bit trigger happy and get it cart wheeling and tumbling around. Nothing broken so far (although the 3yr old had a tantrum and puffed my body clips, so missing one of them) but I can see a few things that need adjusting. Also, this thing was way bigger than I was expecting when I was told I'd won it, I don't think I would have personally bought a car this big, but hey, I'm not complaining. Trying to sort out the rear toe in, and the front right hand has a bit more toe in than the left, so just fiddling with them now. Have ordered a bunch of bits and bobs for it, but I feel I may have ordered the diff oils too thin. It'll be better than what is probably in there now, so will experiment and see. If so, what weight did you go with for each diff any why? I bought some 7000, 5000 and 3000 cst for the front mid and rear respectively, but from a few vids I've seen here and there I think I may have made way too light choices. This is my first post 😉 Today, I searched everywhere on the internet for 3D STL files of suspension arms for the Maverick Quantum XT+, but unfortunately, all the links have expired. The only option left was to create a new model based on the photos from the user "Loboo." This is the first version. I haven't tested it yet. If anyone wants to print it, I'm attaching the STL files. Tomorrow, I'll have my first tests of this print. The infill is 70%. PLA filament. TommyC Posted June 8 Share Posted June 8 Am I the only one that doesn’t seem to have an issue with the arms? Mine seems to prefer to break either the chassis or diff casing where they meet. I’ve done 3 chassis’, 2 diff casings and one arm. the one on going issue I have is stripping diff gears. I’ve ordered some shims and the front looks easy enough to shim behind the diff pinion and pin. The rear however it seems like the pin holding the centre drive cup from the spur gear end will restrict me shimming all the play out of the pinion gear end. It’s a great little truck when it’s working. But ultimately has cost me more money than more premium models through the amount of repairs it has needed!
