Ran 6 packs now, an I bloody love this rig!
I have bent the rear shock tower though, before I order.. Are the carbon ones stronger/worth it? or should i stick with ally?
cheers.
think the shock tower has bent the shock shafts with it!! 😬

front shock tower. Is it  supposed to be angled back a bit or have I bent that one as well.....? 😬

cheers bud, That's a relief!
fingers X'ed body panels should be here today...

How finding the DR8 Naptime?, I have been watching some YouTube vids on it and it looks really good bit of kit 😃 and I am all about scale detail even it its going snap off in a crash 😅. Thinking of selling my 6s basher and getting one of these sexy beasts 🙂.

It's my first "Fast' car an.... I love it! 40mph easy out of the box on 4s.. I'm actually to scared to try 6s!!

It's deffo more of a racer that can take a pounding than an all out basher/monster but that's not to say it's isn't strong. I had a full 4s speed tumble tumble aaaallll the way down our track last week an bent the shock tower but, that crash would've bent ANY truck! I'm actually surprised the shock shafts weren't bent!

I would recommend any underside protection you can find as it sits low an grounds out quite a bit.

Does traction roll a bit on the littlest bumps when sideways so I'm deffo gonna try some axle extensions

Body panels are here, now painting them!

So, I'm guessing the rear shock tower is a weak point on these? Second bent tower in as many weeks. Luckily I got a full set of carbon towers an steering parts from eBay for £23!!!
Does the spare tyre cause the bending in a tumble? I've seen a lot of people swap out for a spoiler but, I really like the look of the spare wheel 🤔

Still toying with the idea of a second rear tower to reinforce the main but, I'm gonna need to sort some shock mounts.....?

Have you got a ratchet and a 17mm socket ? should help with a bit of leverage using the ratchet, I some times have to use that combo to get the 17mm nuts off because I get lock tight happy 🙈

Got it figured out piece of cake after I got the Bstard wheel nut off.. Just had to man up! Bit o loctight on the grub screws an they're pretty good for the £. Just got back from a test drive an a LOT more stability in attacking  corners sideways 👍 impressed for only 15mm's.

Another thiing I noticed today worth mentioning in Re: to my post aboot soggy front supension. I satrted to have stiff steering issues too. I found the small ball end on the A strut had loosened from the strut an then tightened into the knuckle adjuster stiffening every ting up.

Hi All
2 things

Out for some winter laps today an after leaving the truck for a few weeks Today I've got mad wheel wobble BUT, only on the rear. Both wheels, Bad vibrations at mid to high trottle, visible but, the car is drivable. Everything seems to be straight dogbones etc, Tyres seem fine so I'm wondering could it be drive train releated like a diff or summat??
I'm gonna swap the wheels front to rear an see what happens. Should've got a vid but, I'm dumb. Also
Imma drill a 10mm hole an bolt that spare tyre on properly!!

If I do need new wheels, I really like the scale look of the originals but wouldn't mind a little more moto spike. I stil wanna keep the narrow race look.. any suggestions

Hopefully swapping them from rear to front like you say will help you track it down.

I love my DR8 but it is hard finding different wheel choices that keep a similar look.  Not that keen on using MT tyres for something that looks like this.

Mojave 6s wheels are meant to be good but aren't cheap, even from Jenny's

Panic over

Took my arrma 6s spanner into work and ground down as much as I dare 😬 turned out OK. May have just been the numbers on the side of the casting stopping it from working
