Overview

"Designed Fast, Designed Tough" may be an understatement when describing the KRATON® Extreme Bash Roller Speed Monster Truck. Made of strong anodized 7075 T6 aluminum, the laser-etched chassis plate gains further rigidity from the use of front and rear aluminum chassis braces. Strong composite chassis side pods and a center body support and brace provide more rugged resilience.

Durable steel driveshafts plus all-metal diff outdrives and gearbox internals keep the heavy-duty 4-wheel drivetrain rolling over punishing tracks. An Extreme Bash toughened suspension system smooths the ride, with a steel rear suspension mount and adjustable oil-filled shocks mounted on 7075 T6 anodized aluminum front and rear shock towers.

The KRATON Extreme Bash Roller Speed Monster Truck's list of EXB components also includes the following — and more — to give this big machine uncompromising muscle:

  • EXB Heavy-duty front and rear arms with aluminum strengthening cap
  • EXB Heavy-duty steel turnbuckles
  • EXB Heavy-duty front upper steel hinge pins
  • EXB Plated limited-slip differentials
  • EXB Red-anodized aluminum servo mount
  • EXB Large volume waterproof receiver box
  • EXB Front bumper

Its aggressive dBoots® Copperhead 2 tires arrive mounted on multi-spoke wheels with durable hubs to deliver all-terrain traction — assisted by a high downforce wing that adds an aggressive edge to the look of the exclusive EXB matte and gloss effect finished truck body.

Looks like they're answering criticism of bending chassis?

They've addressed quite a lot here it seems....

Seems well specced really for the price it is...

Cue a load of arrma fans selling of they're old gen arrma's 🤣👌

They've sort of addressed the K8 chassis, will they now go all out with a super chassis to fix it once and for all? 🤔

We have 2 threads on the same thing XD

Yeah if I was m2c or just bash it or m3 I would be a bit worried right now.

Saying that though plenty of people bought the rtr hyper St as well as the pro version and they still up

wondering if the Kronos has them worried and they upped their game :)

I doubt it, the Kronos isn't much tougher as a Kraton. A few videos already of them breaking on youtube. They're not tougher.

I think they do this to end the "discussion" about Arrmas  bending, which is damaging to the brand.

That said: this thing looks pretty bad-arse, and if nothing goes majorly wrong, it's an addition to my garage. Did feel the itch to build for a while now, but couldn't be bothered with another crawler. This is perfect. Just hoping the price is reasonable.

edit: $470 on the HH website. Translates probably to £470.

edit2: damn, misread - not a kit, but a roller :(

I think the whole premise of corrally updating their cars based directly on customer feedback has kicked arrma into gear a bit ngl

Anything that motivates another company to pull their finger out is a win for everyone, hopefully this in turn gets Corally to release the updated parts quicker 👍

Considering 1/8th race rollers are well over £500, this is a bargain 👍

My thought exactly. Though i'd buy it as a basher. :P

£430 is a good price.

Of course it's stuperbash, didn't even look at title or anything, just peeked into the first video.

Already in love.

edit: watched both videos, shocking that a cracked body was the only casualty for RC DUDE. Yeah, i'll have one.

Jaytee getting in on the act.

Certainly took some abuse. Rear wing mount still broke, really needs a nylon type that bends a little more.

Some horrible landings on to those protruding kerb stones! Yet nothing bent.

£430  is almost kit money and this is a pre built roller

Arrma finally sort out the truck make it like folks want and remove the electrics meaning the roller with electrics will be more like the £650 mark if you want some half decent electrics again that’s almost kit money

Hmm is this really the steal they want you to think it is 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is this a sign Arrma has finally peaked as all they seem to be capable of doing is re releasing the same old trucks time and time again and let’s be honest even the hard core fans will have there v4 kraton better spec’d out than these so why would they buy it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Great to see Arrma finally fix the flaws but it’s certainly not a cheap fix fir sure
