Looking good Chris, liking the additional touches with the paint for the wheels mirrors and spoiler.  Wish all the shells were pre cut at the arches!  You going to run this one? Body will be on a par with your Porsche when finished! Really smart.

Thanks @Seanster43  Painting body accessories ans wheels give it a much better finish. Even iff the wheels are silver, they just look better sprayed silver.  It's the first shell of about 40 that I've had with precut arches, they did need a little sanding in places but saves a whole lot of time.

this one's strictly a shelfer, no electronics just a rolling chassis.

Has anyone ever stuck stickers over the protective film? I just did, these 2 :crybaby:

Managed to lift the sticker and remove the film, not 100% but pretty close.

Take care

I never did, but I always remove the film when I am done painting the body most of the time when it is stil wet, I can't wait to see how it looks

lucky you noticed it and not after you did al stickers.

I've always peeled and stuck as I go leaving as much film on for as long as possible for longer protection. I'll never be doing that way again, it's coming off from the start. Never felt so terrified in all my life  still, it doesn't look to bad, depending on light and angle, the Merc badge is perfect but the D2 sticker does have some film stuck to it. I had to use some of that really thin clear double sided tape you get in some kits.

As always you did a very good job, the car looks real good, you do a better job then me applying the stickers, I always seem to struggle with them .

So so nice. I've got mine sat on the shelf waiting to be built. One of my all time favorite cars the CLK-GTR.

Thanks. Detail is amazing on the shell. Some stickers are tricky to line up.

How did you do the panel lines?

I use Kyosho 0.4mm lining tape,  CLICKY

Thank you. Ordered some of that!

Good stuff grab it while you can . About a year ago it disappeared out of stock from everywhere, Germany, HK, Japan etc for approx 12 months.  Now it seems to have made a come back but in different packaging. used to be a blister pack with yellow carboard.
