I work here: http://www.hifiheadphones.co.uk/

I'm a headphone reviewer in my spare time, so it's my ideal job and I love it. Surrounded by headphones, giving advice and also writing articles for them. Due to living costs (me and my other half are renting, and neither of us are on big money) I don't really have funds for RC and I haven't been out with my RC for about 5 months.

But at least I have a job I enjoy, plus the fact I have no qualifications means I'll never be in a top paying job.

I used to live with family, and had more cash to spend, and I did go a bit OTT on a few builds, but I can't afford to do that now :D

Got any codes coming up, Was gonna pick up the SoundMAGIC HP151 the other month with the SM45 code, But forgot, 60 quid was a bargain.

I'll try and find out if we have anything coming up. We're going to be doing some good discounts on our website for "black Friday"

I work at a Jaguar/Land Rover dealer, do a bit of everything really, sometimes driving one of the parts vans round Devon/Dorset, occasionally working in Service and sometimes delivering new (or used) vehicles to their new owners.

Cool thread! Interesting to see what others are up to in the real world.

I’m CEO of a building company. I’m also the secretary (although technically that’s my wifes role), skivvy, delivery driver etc etc. It’s a small firm - just me and one other on the tools permanently. Sub contractors called upon when needed to do what we can’t.

Yeah I like these threads, I've seen them used in the past for networking, people getting jobs or just a bit of advice on something. No downside to having a group of likeminded people with a range of specialisations 👍

Always interesting seeing what others do, some cool jobs here! Goodluck with your retirements lucky ducks!

I've done many a job, worked in IT support for years, then worked at a bank for a few years. Done site work, contracting / demolitions etc...
Main gig was making art for computer games / games developer really enjoyed it, just hard to find a good company that values it's staff vs being used and discarded once the games out.

I'm always a little envious of people who have had a varied working life. Develops such a wide range of skills 👍🏻 Meanwhile I've been sailing the 7 seas for 20 years 😂 roll on 2025 when I get to pick a new job 😁

Twenty odd years in the motor trade, starting in retail sales, then corporate sales, then service department, then parts dept.  Now work in the service dept at an agricultural & garden machinery supplier.  In between done all sorts of other jobs ranging from postman, to labourer, to door to door vacuum cleaner salesman (seriously!), McDonalds, Camping shop, bike (pedal variety) shop, IT systems tester, and last but not least, delivery driver.  Phew...
