Unfortunately the helion wasn't very successful and is discontinued so parts will probably be thin on the ground in the UK. Yeah next time choose a model from one of the bigger better brands.

Hi Guys, hope you can help me.

I grabbed an unloved Bison from a neighbor's bin (crazy I know)... it had taken a smash and a few of the front suspension bolts had snapped, steering rod bent and one of the steering linkages (plastic part) had snapped... but otherwise it looked ok.

So I ordered a pack of M3 60mm bolts and set about repairing. It had also lost both of the long pins that hold the bottom suspension arms to the car. I used 2 of these 60mm bolts, which I think its probably a 'better than new' solution 🙂

The broken steering linkage I rebuild from metal. - and now everything is back together and looking good.

My problem is pairing up the remote control with the car. It came with a cheap(?) Fast Lane  "Sand Shark" controller, which I just can't get to bind with the car. I need to know if I need to buy a new controller or if Im pairing it incorrectly.

To pair Im shorting the two pair pins on the receiver, then switching on the car. This results in the receiver flashing rapidly (I then remove the shorting wire). The controller has no buttons (apart from on/off), but squeezing the trigger and switching it on makes the led flash. So I think both items are trying to pair... but never do.

Does this sound correct? is there an easy way to work out whats wrong? Im completely new to RCs and don't know what else to do apart from buy a new remote control and receiver.

Thanks for any help!

Todd.
