Carpmart Posted January 6, 2015 Share Posted January 6, 2015 Chaps Just thinking about assembling the components needed for the next project. I want to build a tarmac spec Group B rally car. The hardest part of the project is going to be getting the shell sorted. I'm after something like a Lancia, 6R4, SWB Audi as the iconic Group B cars. I would also consider a bubble arch MK1 escort body or a forest spec MK2 at a push..... There was a guy I remember seeing selling these genre of car shells from Poland or Czech or somewhere around eastern Europe, but I can't seem to find any details on him. I also saw an Audi looking shell for the Baja, but that really wasn't very authentic scale and was a pretty naff overall look. Anyway, please point me in the right direction to source a shell..... I know the escort shell you are on about, but the threads are pretty old and I don;t know if the things can still be bought. Spitfire on the RC Tech forums made them. Wer the financesrs get either a free shell or discount on the final product. Then the forum can produce them for ebay using profits to run the site and get prizes for members. Check out Ebay.de and search "1/5 Karosserie" under "Modellbau" - quite often come across a few "gems". MCD used to make some decent largescale shells. Al.
