chewbacca
Went to Argos with Mum today cos she wanted a model kit/Lego to build (She's fidgety after sending a manuscript to her publisher) and decided that if she can buy a toy, so can I! Noj
Anyone got the millenium falcon? The bad boy one? As in, the UCS 'sells for over a grand' Falcon?? No, would like one, not paying four figures for one. Settled for the mk2 mini figures release instead Same with the mk1 and 2 Death Stars, gorgeous and overpriced... Be aware with the UCS Falcon, very few originals come up for sale, what does are models made up by folk, no manuals, box or info plate. Not worth bothering with, IMHO... Noj
Right, with you now. The ones linked are the current models (re) released, something they like to do.....slightly newer versions with different parts and sometimes mini figures too. They all appreciate in value, so keep the boxes and manuals etc. Good start to the collection, I recommend an Imperial Star Destroyer and an AT-AT, amongst many, many others Also, buy UCS kits now, once gone, the prices get very, very ridiculous....if the missus asks questions, open eBay and bricklink, show her the then and now prices, receive a curry and an 8 pack for helping to sort the retirement pot!!

She's up for it believe it or not, my son has a lego playhouse, an entire log cabin full of lego builds so she's right into lego as is he. Unfortunately someone got in there & destroyed everything in there so it's currently a shed full of blocks & he's diisheartened so much now he doesn't go in there. I've got my eye on this:http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Slave-I-75060;jsessionid=CA2B00E9919BCE6B8C4C5061D421B313.lego-ps4

Bigjimknickers
thats bad, some people are just strange.Yes, it was either jealous neighbours kids or little ones got in there, totally wrecked his entire city collection, police station, vehicles the lot. Anyway, my collection has failed at the first hurdle! Went to toys R us to get an A-Wing 75003 & its out of stock! What a waste of time. Noj
I have that very Slave 1, not built it yet....lol. Benefit of buying from Lego is the VIP points program. We have had lots of smaller sets bought via my amassed points, and the only thing better than Lego is Free Lego As for small scrotes who destroy other children's Lego, there is a very, very special dark and sizzling place for them to learn a valuable lesson
