What did you do to your model today?

Rebuilt the same LC Racing HD diff 4 times before giving up.  Maybe 5th time is the charm.

 

Not sure why they call these HD diffs but this is the 4th one I have built and every single one so far as taken several rebuilds to get them running without locking up from one end.

 

The original design seems far easier and smoother and even the top keys in nicely with pegs plus the screws compared to this HD version which only uses the tiny ph000 screws.

For all the stick it gets I dont mind building a TT series car. The slop and shocks are terrible I agree but hey. This flew together to be fair. I also had an apprentice to help me. I dont normally work on the floor but my daughter couldnt reach the desk and wanted to help

Printed some tpu parts. 

I've wrecked a battery so I found this shark fin on printables. A bit of protection for the lipo. 

Also easier to flip back over after a crash.

Like seeing these 😃, every time I see a new pic of one I think his neighbours must think what the hell is that noise 😆. Have any of them asked about a little green UFO yet that sounds like a billion bees are flying around? 🙂

I love the noise. Ripping past myself and throttle punches sounds well good. 

I did a mint dive down a steep hill through a gap in the trees, I'll try and find the video.

Took X maxx out again 9 sets of lipos in now and still going 😄. Started show some battle damage, few full front end landing and twated a big ol'rock ripping it about but X maxx dun care 😆. The chunk missing from the front arm doesn't look like much but it made a right old thunk sound I thought I ripped the front end off 🫢. I have no doubt I'll break something at one point but I am having fun finding out 😃.

Were supposed to be having a new roof and velux windows fitted, along with some plastering rtc but its been delayed. However we’d got to the stage where the RCs needed to go up into the loft. This loft has been derelict for at a minimum of 25 years, more than likely a lot more, So Ive tidied, boarded and lit it the best I can. I couldnt just throw everything up there Ive had to lay it out in some sort of fashion. Itll have to be covered over with some sheeting for now

 

 

Considering I hardly use an RC, I dont need this much charging power!

 

 

Now for a few bottles of Mahou 🍻🍺

Fitted a gyro to my syncro 2wd as on 4s it's to much. Never used " driving aids" but I'm so impressed. Also tested the sketer with the new combo. Sketer is now a new beast. Can't wait to line up against my mates 6s punisher

Which gyro you fitted ?. I've been using the DumboRc one that comes built into the receivers but I find it makes the steering naff like the steering circle is massive when its on 🫤. By the way lights look cool on the truck 🙂

Im using the dumborc P6F(G) in mine and at 1st I thought the same so I swapped it back to make sure i wasn't go mad. After I adjusting the sensitivity it was spot on

Cheers so it's not me then 🤣, I'll give it another go next I am out. I only wanna use it for the UDR as driving that without a gyro is a bit of a hand full at speed!

Been out enjoying the arrma fury today, absolutely bulletproof these things. Have ran 20 packs through this thing bashing it and not a single breakage.

Had a fantastic few days away with a friend and we took both the Defender and the LC80 out for a spin, some good trails and she seems hooked haha.

 

Unfortunately upon arriving home, I took the Defender out to test sections of my course and the steering servo gave out, so time to upgrade, which is fine as it's got me well in to the hobby.

I tried tapping the wall near the top, don't know if I got it. I'll keep practicing until I get it. Long steep walk if I mess it up or a big tumble.

Finally got my FG Monster shell together. The shell is for my 4x4 not the alloy monster it's pictured on.

 

Shell aas over painted by previous owner and was cracking and flaking so I decided to revive it for bashing.

After hours and hours of prototyping I come to the conclusion that 3d printed tyres are crap! At least when made with TPU95A. They look good but are essentially drift tyres.

Here we have nasty gravel that chews moving plastic parts. Notice the difference in front and back stock parts - back is now conical...

GPM parts fits perfect as usual 🙂 One more upgrade for the mini Max.

Also did the speed run with it - would say its close to whats on the box - no gearing change. Will test my Xmaxx tomorrow 🙂

Went out with a friend and took the X maxxes and few other RCs, made a tow rope for the X maxx save me carrying back a RC while I try to drive it 😃. Full on crashed the X maxxes few times but they don't care kept on going, things popped off put pins back in off you go 🙂.
