QRC
changed out the stock radio for my preferred one, found the 4s used back in my Xmaxx days and they fit in the battery and time for a pinion change, 15t me thinks, 17t will only end in an expensive fix. 🤪

Partydaz
Finally fitted the new rear drive shaft on the UDR even added little boot thingy to hold the grease in even adds a little scale touch to it me thinks 😃. It'll probably fly off in the first 5 mins but at least I tried 😄. I really need to give this truck a clean 🫣
Popular Post Partydaz
Took the UDR out around the quarry after work and some local yoofs have made a ramp on the little hill I jump over 😄 perfect for RC trucks. Have not missed cleaning this thing over summer, winter time brings the muck 😭

Popular Post bunnie
Done a few changes and stripped down all 3 diffs on my maverick Quantum truck before i even used it as I read they come empty. I've never had to do diffs on a brand new rc car unless I've built it from kit form both front and rear diff were like this Centre diff Threadlocked the driver cups as they are known to come lose Added my ddf-350 radio gear Added body retainer clips Quick change of the settings and it's now ready to go 🙏
wombat
How do you find the ddf 350, tempted to get one but don't know if I could get my head round all the settings I could change,😕 Edited November 15, 2024 by wombat Spell checker

wolfie1
Well not exactly model based but lipo based, got these lovely lipos delivered today and then immediately cut the plugs off and soldered on xt90, these ones were on special but the xt90 ones werent so saved myself around £60, £50 i suppose if you count the new connectors, also changed all the rest of my 3s lipos to xt90 except for the traxxas ones Edited November 15, 2024 by wolfie1

Feels bit slow moving through the menus and inputting model names can be a pain but if you ever used an old Nokia mobile before it'll all come back to you that's kinda what it feels like to use 😀. The arrangement of certain options could be better but you get used to it so it's not an issue. Only down side is it can only store 10 models but as they so cheap I ended up buying another so I now have 2.

Popular Post MrCake
Got it muddy! First winter run for the DR8 and I forgot how hopeless it was traction wise with the stock tyres 🤣. Think I looked at 6s Mojave wheels before but never got them.

It does look like an absolute tank though. Definitely a lot beefier than the groms. In fact, there’s no comparison really! There’s an optional centre diff available for them that I’ve got on pre order too. I’m 3d printing some bits to make the conversion nice and tidy which I’m hoping to finish this evening. Size wise they are just about the same, it's just the tread pattern that is more open. I've seen someone on here ( think it was tomr ) who actually cut some of the blocks out of the standard tyres...far too tedious for me so I spent some more money!! 🤣
MrCake
I did wonder if the 4s Mojave wheels would be a good fit since they are cheaper but their dimensions doesn't seem to appear anywhere online

MrCake
He hasn't posted it yet but I think Tomley had diff issues with this when he chucked in the VXL system into his mini maxx so might be best starting off gentle.

I was going to go for 4000kv but lhs only had this one. I did size up the 140A max10 out of my senton but the esc and motor would practically touch so no room for where the sensor wire comes out. Could go 3665 with a sensorless motor. Just finishing up my esc mount; Edited November 20, 2024 by TommyC
Partydaz
Bit of shock tuning for the Kagama, I think it's set up for big jumps with 1000cps shock oils so going use the off road tuning recommendations by Corally which are in the manual get it handle even better 🙂. And I've only just realised what the holes on the stand are for after 3 years of having it, it has been kept propping up RC cars in that time so thats my excuse 🙃 Got burner on full blast tonight as it's cold in here and Mog is happy about it 😊.
