Like maybe 10 minutes in, on the deadest street that you could ever be on, it got run over by a student driver and instructor. - Everything is okay! It was just a really big shock. had that a few years back a plonker ran over my Hobao hyper GT speed run car, it same out pretty well just broken body and 2 broken wheels

wolfie1
I had that once too with a serpent impact, snapped the engine mounts off the side of the engine, kinda crushed the shell and broke the rear shock tower
Skyesgaming
@SimplyChunk and I spent most of our day on and off building the chassis to our DT-03s. We are planning to completely build it by the end of the night, we haven't started painting yet because the weather wasn't brilliant, but hopefully tomorrow we can get started on that at least.

Anyway "unbreakable" pullstart cord ordered and new exhaust spring and rubber seal to be fitted. Popular Post Skyesgaming
@SimplyChunk and I finished building our DT-03s yesterday, we even managed to take them out for a little mini test run last night. We haven't painted our bodyshells yet, we're still waiting for better weather, and not having plans when we do have good weather. This is my chassis. This is SimplyChunks Chassis.

wombat
Took a friend up to the local club as he wanted to try rock crawling, within an hour he'd wrecked the front hub and bent a driveshaft on the mauler, and ripped a body post , split the roof on the bitsa buggy, and to add add insult to injury I dropped the Injora buggy off a steep climb and broke a section off the cage/chassis, so all an expensive day out He is now right into it, and wants to go again, so I've had to say, when you've got your own 😂 Edited September 3 by wombat 2

Tadas
Iv decided to move ESC away from the motor since they were almost touching. I think it went well ill later create or update and existing 3d print topic with blueprints of this and other parts you can do at home with 3d printer. Now i must figure a way to solve this issue with spur / pinion gears - they dont owerlap completelly doesnt matter which way i put pinion on the shaft.... Dont want to move the motor back (will have to drill new holes and cut parts of the body for it to fit), maybe different type of pinion? Or drill and tap a new hole? Anyone tried it?
Tadas
Ok, looks like CC pinion gear it self is almost 2mm wider/higher? vs HS pinion thus solving my problem, tho i only have 14T, would be interesting to measure 16T CC pinion - maybe someone has it on hand? bunnie
Took my hyper 7 to the park for a quick blast and was well happy. Needs a little tune but clever me forgot to bring fuel with me. I was happy regardless (didn't get any pics 🙈) Came home on a high to sort the pullstart for the mt so I could go back out with it which took a little longer than expected but was done. Just need to cut the excess cord when i took off the pullstart the bearing on this shaft just exploded 🤬 I've tried everything to get the rest of it off but it's going no where so I've had to order a replacement
