Hmm Ive ran XO-1 shafts on a few 4x4 Models over the years and never had an issue with them cracking? Do you clean the truck after every run?

I clean them every run, maybe the boots do not like  sand, I only drive the car  on the beach, the driveshaft  are fine but the boots have cracks in it and it looks like the rubber is dried out a bit, so I have to rebuild them or buy other driveshafs.

 

Or maybe I remove the boots and make some clips or something to hold the pins in place, the new traxxas driveshaft do no have boots anymore.

that is plausible, I run my cars also over the wet sand, and when I clean them I only brush of the sand, salt dries out rubber,  but I never had a problem with tires and run most of the time on the beach,  but this could be the case with those rubber boots.

After being abandoned in the shed for a year an a bit, done some digging and got on with painting. Still cannae mask for soup!

Took the trucks out on the trails.

 

 

I'm not sure the motor I've got is overly keen on the trailer especially in the warm weather as it got a little warm.

Painted inner fenders and an interior for my Element Enduro.

Interior is completely wrong for a ‘93 Ford Ranger but I already had it, and it fits, so it will do… for now at least (especially as nobody but me is ever likely to notice it’s wrong.).

As a small nod to scale accuracy I painted it grey, as the original interior was grey unless you paid extra.
Hopefully weather is good tomorrow and I can do the body shell 🤞🤞

shimmed the front wheels on the grasshopper 2, much better now, put the stig man in it and covered up the top of a front shock tower with a wee bit metal to protect it from breaking like it did on the other side 🙂

dont tempt me, if i wasnt so tired earlier i would of cut a alloy bar to size from the left overs of the dbx chassis and dremmeled, drilled it to reinforce the back ones, as there are convienent little hole's sticking out each side between the 2 back shocks which seem to be unused and the shell doesnt use em lol

I won a set of Lipo charge bags from them a while ago! Personally I would have preferred an Xmaxx but considering I never win anything I’m pretty happy!

Fitted a spare wheel and mounted 2 fire extinguishers to the TRX6 today

Down the field with the old man. He’s really getting to grips with the Maxx. He can drive it on two wheels at will now. Talion was rapid as ever, I’ll be adding a fan to the motor heat sink as soon as it lands!

Finally managed to finish off the design for some rock slider stand offs and then get them printed as the last step to get the knightrunner shell properly fitting onto the TRX4.  Not sure why the Picture is upside down for this but these go on the top of the side plates to raise the mounts for the rock sliders up by about 13mm. 
 

 

My new wheel hubs arrived so I have refitted the disc wheel weights. I’ve  also drilled lots of small holes in the shell for mounting up all of the supplied moulded parts. Not sure I should have fitted the snorkel but will do how it looks with paint before deciding if it goes or stays.
