Popular Post Tug
Took out the Baja, Super 5sc Flux and DBXL-E. Baja was perfect, no breakages or worn parts. Brakes need tightening up, that's all. Saw some impressive air, more than I normally give it, but survived it all. Super 5sc was awesome, until the pinion fell off. Not had that happen in a while, sadly couldn't find it this time. It's also showing signs of age, total rebuild of the drive-train is in order. DBXL-E was great, but did develop a new clicking sound, but only under braking. Will remove and examine front diff. If I can't find the cause, I'll rag it until it stops running. All saw proper air (not Talbot air though), shame I didn't film it. Edited August 4, 2022 by Tug

All a moot point because I knew almost exactly where the pinion fell off. Whilst out doing errands I decided to stop off with wife and dog for one last look. Mrs found it, tenner saved. Result! Popular Post supersavage
Had some more fun with the LMT Have to say that it's probably the most fun truck I've driven for a long time as you really don't need a lot of space to have fun with it and it really does handle and drive like a full size monster truck. Also maybe drove it a little too hard again as I discovered that my little ramps are just big enough to do front flips 🤣 5

Alex97
With the chances of me getting another new M03 chassis being kinda slim I've taken the parts, most M chassis parts are transferable between the older chassis I just needed to order the chassis, drive shafts and gears to make an MF01. Only issue is the short wheelbase drive shaft is out of stock. Electronics need a tidy however it's coming together. Edit - having some 5mm carbon fiber rod lying around worked perfectly. I'm not sure why I didn't think about it before as it's what I used to make all of the internal shafts. Popular Post Borked
I popped my ESC on the last outing. Doing donuts on 3s on a 60amp ESC was asking for trouble 😂 So I've stripped down and cleaned the car, and installed a 120amp Banggood ESC. Probably wouldn't have been anyones first choice, but my mate offered it to me for free, and you can't argue with that price! Unfortunately, as it's quite a bit bigger than the old ESC, I've had to move the receiver back up onto the upper plate. I still think it looks quite tidy though. The new ESC could do with setting up. Its launch is really soft, but the programming card I've got doesn't seem to work for this ESC. I'm back up and running now anyway! 😁 Edited August 6, 2022 by Borked
Popular Post Tug
Tonight's weapons of choice; The Baja was last to be ran, faultless and huge fun. Some fairly big air, six to seven feet, took it no problem. The Kyosho Scorpion XXL VE was superb, more air than I should of, but no breakages and just a great drive. The old Ally-Maxx was true to form, jumped great, popped wheelies and was a laugh. And makes such a great sound. Only cost tonight was one body-clip. I can live with that.

Popular Post QRC
Out of nowhere pulled the 5ive out of a 5 year hibernation, initially would not start, quickly solved, the coil had dropped. Then wired up the Dark Soul twin servo direct power harness and got it correct the first time…😂. My local raceway has had no activity this year, thought it had closed for good, but found last night it will be back up and running next week, I had no prior knowledge before getting the 5ive, spooky or what…..😮😃😎 Edited August 7, 2022 by QRC

Popular Post MrCake
A nice RC filled weekend with a session yesterday morning with the old man where we ran 6 x cars in the morning. A very good session as all 6 cars came back with no breakages or even a loss of a single body clip! Fitted the replacement parts for the Big Rock and took it out for an early test this morning and I am pleased to say that it worked . Wasn't 100% confident as the transmission is noisy at the best of times and I had to hammer on the bearings to the input gear with a socket nut to get the things on! Not sure if anyone else has had to do similar with the 3s Arrmas?? Edited August 7, 2022 by MrCake edit 5
