Popular Post danny boy
Pulled the whole thing apart cleaned, greased and lubricated the gears, fitted a brand new set of sealed bearing, put some carbon fibre on it, replaced the standard dog bones with a set of CVA's, and fitted a full set of hex head screws to replace the standard crosshead ones. Busy day, but the car looks so much better for and will drive like a proper race buggy now. Just need to get a nice set of shocks and it's ready for the local clubs vintage class. I bought this off eBay not long ago. I believe I bought it from @Fly In My Soup, but not 100% sure?

Popular Post MrCake
Finally took the DR8 to a location that it could really open up. Discovered said area had a hidden hole in the ground which was about 1ft deep and 3ft wide. DR8 disappeared into the hole while going flat out, hit the inside and then did cartwheels for day! Not sure I have seen many people do this? 3

Popular Post No brains
Brought the Hot shot back to pieces, and put it in a nice warm bad to let it soak all the dirt of, I am going to rebuild the car and bring it back to stock form, it had the super hotshot suspension parts on it but I like the look of the original more.

Popular Post Hell horn.
Got the tools together and did some work. Half way through the project. Tomorrow will drill and tap the holes and print the last parts needed. One ar60 size pro44 rear axle. Lovely.
Popular Post MrCake
A quick rally session to hoover up dust and leaves. Thinking I should maybe use the lexan dust cover but would end up cutting holes for the motor and ESC to get some air so probably not worth it. Absolutely love how this PTG-2 handles but still not found the perfect spot. This was in a woodland clearing which was almost perfect with a dusty loose surface but then had large roots sticking up which spoil the fun. Short grass is ok but then you get a lot of traction roll. 3

Popular Post MrCake
Painted at the weekend but left it a few days to make sure the paint was dry. First go at painting a body which went better than I expected, but not my favourite thing to do.

Popular Post No brains
Rebuild the rear driveshafts of my traxxas rustler 4x4 so it has now pins and boots , in the process I found out that the wheel bearings had seized up and one of the diff bearings, it sounded a little squeaky the last time I run it, so I changed all the diff bearings, and center diff bearings and wheel bearings, the front of the car is still smooth so no need to replace the bearings there.
