Could maybe try to print one? Questionable how much punishment it would take, but probably more than a glued part

 

Speaking of which, I have been very quiet on the 3D printed parts front as i have been doing a bit of an overhaul on my printer. Installed a redesigned carriage with a far more efficient hot end, pulled all the sides off and re-organised the cables, changed some fans... with doing a full time job it's taken some time.

I can say that it was absolutely worth it though.
Just printed a part off in PA12-CF15 (Nylon with 15% carbon) and it's better than anything I have done with similar filmanets in the past.

 

So I'm back in the game... @.AJ. - Again, I'll have to let you know how it holds up 😄

Today I blew up my revo 3.3😢, full speed pass and the cooling head shoots off into the air and the engine stalled. Looks like its time to upgrade the engine😂

Did that proper - I always prefer a spectacular failure to something just breaking

Shame about your motor, did it land on its head and it snap off or did it just blow off the top? Good excuse to go brushless perhapse 😁

On that more on the nitro to brushless LST adventure.

 

 

Tweaks to the LST Brushless conversion, should be more reliable then the bodge job belt drive as neat as it was when it worked.
Wont bore with the details here, up dated the thread for those intrested.

Its way over sized, 14t - 20t  would be the range the nitro motor used. Need another mount to use the right size pinion, however motor should be powerful enough to shift it even with the massive pinion.

over the last 2 days done some needed maintenance,

 

the bandit xl5 has never had its gear box opened since i bought it probably over ten years ago so gave that a good clean and regreased.

 

 

 

then yesterday done some maintenance on the dc 1 and finally changed the bent steering linkage lol

 

 

 

 

then it was time to go on an adventure with it 🙂

 

 

 

then afterwards i came home and managed to strip the spur gear on my tt-01 lol

More of a what did I do for my model today. I turned a broken computer monitor in a light panel for photographing my models. Tore the screen apart and installed some super bright pure white LEDs to give a very nice soft daylight like glow.

 

So now even in a pitch black room I can still have pure "daylight" for my images.

Noo would never do such a thing, I absolutely love the revo 3.3 and really hooked on the nitro atm. The noise and whole experience brings back memories from being a kid. I have other brushless rc's for when I want the performance and ease of use.
