What did you do to your model today?

Closer to finishing the mechanics

How is the second rear axle driven?  Is there a driveshaft running back from the centre axle?  If so, is it a special axle or some sort of a pumpkin drive adaptor?

Started to repair the damage from my excessive driving habits. 😇

Turns out the A arms that I was using was off the Hyper 7.5 if you can remember that!! Swapped them out for normal arms.

The shocks are proving more of an issue as the only place in stock for the part I need is in Australia. (Yay for Hyper 9 shocks!) 😪

Also turns out my pinion was meshing on the motor mount, but its stubbornly refusing to come off. Need to buy a blow torch for this me thinks!

Fitted my last aftermarket in-racing motor mount to a Hong Nor X1 CR Pro that's on the bench for conversion and refurbishment.  Already run a similar buggy as my daily driver (or quarterly as seemed to be the case last year 😞 ) so not sure what'll happen with this.   Mounted it opposite the option part Hong nor alu diff support.

No photo description available.

Fitted your last?.

Why?. Do you keep breaking them?.

If you have a broken one (or any other metal bits) that's measurable / copyable. I might take a look at it.

A couple of months and my new cnc project should be finished, or close to it.

Been out of rc (and most things) for a  long while lately (medical).

Good luck with that, will be interested to see what you use and how it lasts, I never have any luck gluing high stress components

With new 1.5mm hex driver in hand I finished the transmission this morning but the gearbox cover doesn’t fit with the length of the Holmes Hobbies spindle 😕

Don’t want to cut the spindle, can you get a spacer to fit between motor plate and motor?

How many mm do you need? What about this? I’m interested because I have a Holmes 550 crawler motor here too!

It’s an option, but they fall into my “offensively expensive” bracket for what they are, especially as with postage they’ll be £7 ish - I’m going to have a go at making something tonight, it’s just annoying

Drill a hole and let the motor shaft poke through? I've done that in the past.

Technically still a model, just not RC 😛 But set about altering this minichamps 1/18 Ford Escort model to closer match something else.

Needs a 6s set up that, mate.

I would tend to agree with you on this, but as I can't get spares to replace them it is either this or replace them. 😪

Any suggestions for Big Bore 1/8th shocks that are easily (ish) available?
