Ahh, you had me worried for a moment there mate. Would you believe im happier now that it’s getting the use it deserved. Again, thank you. It was a absolute pleasure doing business :good:

I shall have to keep an eye out for you mate, i have seen your Nissan truck there before and i bet we haven’t been a million miles away from each other at some point…..

im only going Sunday for a couple of hours, its my eldest daughter’s birthday Saturday so dont fancy missing out.

rc wise, i have foam lined a small ammo tin to house all the mini/micro lipos in, hopefully get out for a bit over the weekend with the Mini-t.

Not sure what day we'll be going though all being we'll be 2 up on my brother's motorbike as long as we can strap everything we need to it. Will keep an eye out if it's Sunday we go :good:

Wrecked the rear diff on the ERBE, easily done. So that's replaced.

Gave the DBXL-E a run, front diff sounds shot, crunches horrendously under braking. That will be tomorrow's job.

Looks like my packs didn't like being sat for the last couple of years, could be an expensive summer.

Im expecting this with my 4S batteries when I come to use my XRT and XMaxx next….. its been a while, although it had been 16 months almost to the day I last used one of my 3S Lipo’s the other day, and that was perfect (Gens Ace 5000mah)

So, unfamiliar with the DBXL, I stripped the front end down, no issues found, just a massive diff in tip top condition. Didn't open the diff itself, it's turning fine. Reassembled.

Then noticed movement at the motor, it's coming loose. Ah, could that cause the crunching? Applied threadlock, Reassembled, still crunching.

OK, rear diff is coming out. Much easier than the front! There's the problem, the diff housing is coming loose and allowing the pinion to move. Threadlocked and Reassembled, crunching has stopped!

I'll go looking for a new diff and perhaps a new housing, ally?

Forgotten how much I enjoy the tinkering, daunting at first when you're unfamiliar with the truck, but really enjoyed finding and fixing the issue.

Got the DR8 very, very dusty!  Trying a new spot which was pretty good but even early in the day there were lots of runners and dog walkers that I had to keep stopping for to avoid giving them a dust shower.

Few too many larger stones around as well which jammed the servo a couple of times.

Dusty places are the best, it makes for wicked power slides all day!!😃. When you get home and realise not just the RCs are dusty as **** but you are as well 🙈

Went out for an unexpected session with a few guys i know from the hobby. I ended up at an old spot that i aint been for years and it was just as good if not better than i remembered. My slash 4x4 blew a tyre and took out the arm. I dont think I've actually broken anything on this slash in all the years I've had it. My son blew a tyre on my savage xs as he thought if he held it full throttle it would self right 🤣

The cobbles looked familiar haha. There is/was a great pump track at Sandwell Valley Country Park. Also, there was a “fenced off” cobbled car park like above. It was the only place I felt “safe” running my 5th scale Gas Losi’s in public. Its why I sold them in the end

I do miss not having a 5ive but the attention it use to attract was unreal when all you want to do it be left alone

I went on that pump track for around 5 mins (probably the only part i know about the park) and broke my rustler 4x4 vxl. I was disappointed and it put me right off it so I fixed and sold it

Fitted these big whoppers 😃 lightest / cheapest wheels for the X Maxx I could find, there are others lighter but for two of them I got full set of these 😁 760g a pop if anyone is interested. Not to sure on the side wall writing might scub it off yet , going take it for a run after work tomorrow see how it fairs.

Fitted the new arms and some wheels to the slash. Tried to fit a metal servo saver to my typhon grom to then find out it don't fit

Think I can get another run out of this? 🤣

Out of interest, which servo saver did you buy for the grom mate??

i have been perusing the various options, Gpm, Injora etc. but still not 100% lol.

i think you should lay that wheel to rest now….was it a good impact??

Got one from aliexpress as i was ordering a few things from there. Ill get the correct one from modelsport whenever I make an order from there or break the stock one.

As for the wheel there was no impact. I was going full throttle on the flat dusty ground and next thing I know I saw bits of tyre fly into the air and the slash looked limp at the back 🤣

Broke it 😅 bit of a hard landing on a stone floor with the X Maxx which I think did it , not very high been launching RCs off it for a past few years and they are ok but was going flat out so it landed with some force 🙃 , heavier wheels and tyres didn't help i think so hardned steel spur and pinion time.

Took the mini Mojave out for its first proper run.  Loads of fun, and love how it looks and drives.

My first clipless body and can't say I am a fan as it was tricky to remove once I hit lvc.  The 2200Mah batteries also drained pretty quick but I was full throttle most of the time 🤣
