This car is a hand full 🤣 on grass it is planted. On concrete the back end wants to kick out if your not easy on the trigger Reminded me why i love rwd so much. Wide rear wheels 100% help in getting traction as 4s power going through the rear wheels aint no joke

What Kv is the motor in these?  I wanna kinda gauge it against my pirates on 4S cause that's got a 2650Kv in it and I think that rwd (in theory) would be nuts lol

Took the arrma fury 223s for its maiden run today, wicked bit of rc for the money this. Would recommend this over a 2wd brushless traxxas all day long and I’m a traxxas fanboy😂spacer.pngspacer.png

100% with you on this, im a Traxxas fanboy too, proud to admit it as well!!!

but, i really do like that chassis design and the shell/colours really sell it too, so yeah, this would definitely be my first choice. :good:

@Kpowell911, i built my lad that chassis its was the Fiat Abarth so could well be a different combination…. Not bad to build though.

Finished!

Ive heard and watched some horrendous things about the BT-01, but I fought through. It was a very interesting build. I honestly cant say Ive ever built anything like it. Im not going to say its over complicated, because I dont know what extra steps are involved with making this a completely different RC. In my guise, its a Mid Motor, rear wheel drive short wheelbase. It couldve been built as a front wheel drive long wheelbase chassis. I dont think theres anything else like that, so its going to be a little over complicated. I think its got 6 different configuration possibilities? It does seem a bjt complicated. It does seem a but heavy, and I genuinely dont think Ive ever used so many screws on an RC kit. It was quite hard to accept that half way through the manual/build, you just simply start building another chassis, and then screw them both together.  Yes it probably shouldve had bearings and oil dampers in the kit in 2025. Yes its got a fair amount of play, but its a “budget” Tamiya and frankly Im glad it exists.

TA03RS Porsche GT1 or a TT01 997 GT3 Cup is next on the list. Tamiya and Porsche are such a great match!!

Nice build mate, looks great

Had the kagama rear end apart seems after fixing the rear and centre diff the clicking is still happening 🙈. On closer inspection the rear ring and pinion gear are well worn down seems the bearings holding the rear pinion gear in place are well ****ed 😆.

I was going look at them a while ago as the rear got soaked sometime in winter and after cleaning it all up and replacing bearings etc knew they needed looking at but the drive cup that goes on the pinion gear was locktighted on solid so put that down to check in the near future then I completely forgot didn't I 😅. Oh well at least it'll survive summer with nearly all new gearing. Think I'll start treating this one a bit better from now on.

I've just fitted the Traxxas upgraded ECS and Motor to the Defender and my goodness, it's nice.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have much experience of others, but, it really has made a huge difference to it, along with the metal driveshafts and metal gears.

Was good fun to get set up too.

so a little while ago i seen a listing on aliexpress for shock oil for like .88p a bottle and a very small shipping fee which made each bottle cost probably £1.50 delivered, so i bought a few, since they arrived they had just been sitting in their delivery packet but i wanted to do something better with them, so i did this- got a piece of 3x2 measured it all out, put a 30mm forstner drill bit in the pillar drill and created this, then attached it to the wall in my workshop

I didnt think oils could be posted overseas? I know if I buy a new in box 90s Tamiya from Buyee, they have to open it and remove the bottles of shock oil and diff grease before they can post it, which kinds ruins it been a new a in box? Lol

I'd second Wolfie1 on this.  @Skyesgaming 's DT-03 came from Germany.  It still had the Shock Oil in the box.  I've also ordered Shock Oil, Diff Oil, Lithium Grease, That 'Red' grease (can't remember the compound)  I've also ordered Key switch lube for my mech keyboards.  They've all come through customs to me

I've just resprayed the FMS LC80 from the stock blue and silver to a nice satin black, fitted new bumpers and have new wheels to go on when the new nuts arrive as the current are slightly too large.

Hopefully I've got the right size haha.
