What did you do to your model today?

I've finally completed painting my first shell. 

I am absolutely in love with it, while it was super complicated at times it was still a very fun experience. 

 

Now its just to add the stickers and he'll finally be completed. 

 

 

Now time to paint my other two bodyshells and everything will be complete. 

 

Thank you @SimplyChunk for all your help these past few weeks with the entire building and painting process. I don't think I could've done this without you ❤️

Watched my son fix his mjx. Alloy wing replaced with brand new stock one as it was weak and showed signs of stress. Also swapped out the front and rear shock towers for Alloy ones. Well happy with him as I didn't have to help him at all 😊

Soaking wet Sunday so started putting the electric stuff in the new RC 🙂. Blew the dust of the heater and got me and Captain Mog all warm 😄. He's in his little den under the bench , it's got all my foam and spare covers shoved into so its mega soft.

Body clip. Small cable tie, bit of nitro fuel tube and then close with another cable tie. Cut off the excess on the ends.

Finally got rid of the last of the Reedy electrics in the Element Gatekeeper now got a HW 18080 esc and an injora 5slot 19t motor, very smooth and speed is about just right

Very rare I see a rc that fully get my attention but I think one of these will be added to the fleet very soon!

I was surprised at the quality and engineering in these things it's built like a tank same as the Corally syncro 4 buggy I got a while back, I was that impressed with that buggy I got it's big brother 😃. I kept going ohhh that's a nice idea every now and again while taking bits apart and finding how that put it together 🤓

Well i picked up a new to me from facebook marketplace, it was a bargain in my eyes, also got 2 5000mah turnigy lipos with it too

 

got the box and instruction manuals as well

More what did you do FOR your models today..

 

When I moved in to this flat in December I found myself in possession of this wonderfully large cupboard complete with 13amp socket and light 🙂 

 

So I decided to turn it in to a little workshop for all my cars and computer maintenance 🙂

 

I built the workbench for it today.

 

it's just made up of scrap MDF from desks and things from my old flat and it's on 6, 1100mm breakfast bar legs so it's comfortable to work on while standing (I used to have a standing height desk in my old place for soldering and such)

I think it'll be a good place to store and work on my cars and computers as well as somewhere to put all my tools 😄

You may want to if not already done put some sort of bracing under the full length of  it so it doesnt bend in the middle

It needed a new servo as it did weird stuff sometimes but i had the unused servo from the xmaxx that i put in it

Not my first RC by a long shot but this is the first time I've truly followed the box art and got it as close as I can 🙂

Broke it... 

Some cheap ebay capra axles, snapped the drag link. 

I all fairness they have taken a good few crash moments. 

Nothing major. I think I've got a stainless replacement in the parts stash. 

Servo seems ok🫰.
