Looks a right rusty pile of junk.

another great tool for a weathered/old look is Citadels Nuln Oil.  You can pick it up at a local games workshop or online.  It dries looking like wet oil.  I learned about it watching BareMetalHW on YouTube.  He makes hot wheels cars look amazing btw.  I've had a bottle for a while and @Skyesgaming and I are planning on using some on our models in September

Took the Super SC5 out, it threw the pinion. Refitted that, then decided to swap the perished tyres that are on 17mm hexes for the original tyres on 24mm hexes. What followed was an immense amount of bodgery that may work, but it's not finished and quite possibly won't work when it is finished.

The pinion being thrown is what bent the chassis on my BX-8E.  It just free wheeled straight in to the tyre of my 1:1 car

Spent the evening repairing my nephew's Maverick.  Not the nicest of cars to work on compared to things from my own stable and there was plenty of swearing but got there in the end.

Loss of rwd caused by a sheared centre drive.  Totally clean break and it looks like the replacement part is 'HD' so assume this is a known weakness.

Fitted new Injora S5 compound pin tyres and soft silicone inserts.

The other Injora pin tyres have been brilliant. So hopefully these are that bit better 🤞

have not noticed them yet, will have to have a look. Got the origional injora pins and am well impressed. I am using them with the supplied foams, so looking forwards to your thoughts on them.

I like the tread markings on the wall of those, as found with the origional pins i had to change my crawling style due to the total lack of sidewall tread

I gave them a go yesterday before it started raining

I use the pin tyres on my rhino with vented rims and the inserts are a huge improvement for side hills. The Rhino is quite heavy so the stock foams on a vented rim are way too soft. I run the pin tyres on one of my lcg rigs with an non vented rim, that works alright because it's a light truck.

So far I'm impressed, but I need to do more testing, if it stops bloody raining.

For 15 quid a set they're very good value.

Its a totally lovely day here today so put the drone up and ran 4 sets of batteries through it, took an aerial photo of our house and the bit of land we are buying from the farmer (the bit thats cut, it took me 50 minutes with the mower to cut all that!)

Nice patch of turf you are getting yourself!

Thanks, did originally try to buy a bigger bit and was going to build an off road rc track but farmer was worried we may build a house there, the thought hadnt even crossed our minds and tbh thats the last thing we would have done. But im happy with what we are buying so cant complain whatsoever, probably space to build a 1/8 or 1/10 track though 🙂

Had a play with the settings and tried the GPS for the 1st time. Very happy with the results. Gone are the days where i was 6s mad. I don't need any more than 4s for park bashing. I just need to one by one test all my other cars and set them up to how I like them. Hopefully the weather stays like this till the weekend

I can't wait to get a GPS and try my Pirates for outright speed.  That's supposed to be 6s compatible but I've only ever run it 4s and it's fast enough feel wise as is.  I've already taking it down to a 15T from a 16T pinion on those 4s lipos.  I'm guessing it would have to come all the way down to 13T if I did put a 6s in it lol

Edit:

How you finding your DDF-350?  I love mine to death 🙂

The ddf-350 is spot on. I've had various radio gear both cheap and top end and this does the job perfectly. Only downfall is you can only have 10 models on it so I've got another one on the way 😬
