I used axial bushings at top (part Z-AXA1356) and then at the bottom some longer screws with 4 x washers at the front and 2 X at the rear. The washers are to push the lower end away from the arms. I think I had to cut a smidge out of the body at the rear as well to make sure the springs were cleared.

Interesting, it's coped with most things I've thrown at it or thrown it at, but the shocks do take some stick.
Popular Post steephill
Started a chassis swap. Picked up another lcg chassis from aliexpress. Pulled one to bits
Popular Post Partydaz
Checked the damage from the weekends hot crawler action at the crawler track. My dad ripped a tyre trying do a tight rope obstacle 🙈and I broke a rod end making the bettle bunny hop over obstacles 😅. While I was at It on dad's tiny truck I stripped the wheels off and gutted the electronics. Going treat him to dual stage foams and tyres plus a hobbywing fusion make that baby run smooth 😃.
Popular Post Mack1
Bought the TRX-4 on holiday with me this week. Staying at Pembrey Country Park south Wales so have been scoping out different areas to play. Found a real nice spot not far away from us so have been busy playing.

markymarky
Put the Taylor RC rear uprights and ball joints on the Baja today. First set back with Taylor RC parts though, put the axle through the upright, put the hex on but the retaining pin wouldn't go in, like it was off by a thousand of an inch or something. Was a bit stumped but ever so slightly filed down the "ring" on the back of hex and the pin dropped in. Makes me wonder if it is supposed to be like that, certainly doesn't need shimming any like it did with the stock set up. Love the look of that crawler 😊 but it's to clean! it needs some mud action all up in its business 😛. 1

It's got plenty of dust and sand all over it. Not rained really for a week now. Forecast tomorrow though, so we will see what happens 😆
steephill
Got the electronics in on this lcg build. Started chopping some of the body. It's probably going to need a chunk off the front because of the bumper I borrowed from another build. I gave it a little test and it's pretty good. The Rhino esc and motor has very smooth low down and plenty of power.

Popular Post steephill
Put 2.2 carbon beadlocks and injora 2.2 tyres on the Rhino. Definitely needs way softer foams or silicone inserts. Looks pretty good though.. Gave it a little test on the crawler course, still a bit damp from all the rain☹️. Definitely feels more planted on the 1.9s.
Popular Post SimplyChunk
Painted my clear bodyshell for the BX-8E Pirates 3. Bit of a practice/test run before the big build in September. I think it turned out ok. a few bleeds here and there but most of the lines are good. was using 3M edging tape and Core-RC paints. Colours are CR620 Metallic Graphite, CR610 Berry Purple and CR600 White Knight 🙂 There is a couple of bleeds here and there and the damned thing didn't come with an overspray film either so will need a once over at some point. I got the worse of it off with a Microfiber cloth. I love that Purple 😄 Here's a high view of it on the buggy And here are a couple of low down shots. despite the colourfulness of it it still looks quite menacing 😄 and it definitely looks better with the wing 🤣

bunnie
Couldn't sleep last night due to sleeping in the day (I was dead to the world) so done the diffs on my hyper vse. Inside them was shocking. Would of been better off leaving them empty and letting you do them yourself. All 3 fully cleaned out of the grease and filled with oil 15/50/7. Also reglued the tyres Hopefully round 2 will be much better now 🙏

Popular Post Mack1
Had to give the G500 a real good wash after last night trail. Had a real good time getting it muddy. Just drying out now in all this golden sunshine we have here. I shall have to post some more pics in the relevant sub forum later.
stretch
Started cleaning/striping the mog after yesterday's event only to find one of my 2 run old tyres is ripped. Popular Post steephill
Started on my first weathered, beat up, rusty paint job. Never done one before. The body cost 12 quid so I thought it was a worthy candidate. The paint is still drying. I'm going to give it a light rub down here and there and a bit more flat clear.

I've just given it another coat of flat clear. And some black inside. I'll get some better pictures when I've got the window masks off. I ordered another Texan clear body yesterday. By far the best value cab only body. I prefer them over the jconcepts and proline offerings.
