Can i take the dog bones out my Bullet and run as rear wheel drive? Fed up of the dogbone popping out no matter how much i pack out the diff cup.

Yes but if it has a centre diff you will need to lock this.

if it has a centre diff, lock it. if it doesnt have a centre diff, then just take the dogbone out.

Buy CVD's for the front? It wasn't designed as 2WD, so will handle like a bag of spanners and put more strain on the rear diff, meaning it'll be more likely to break.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Just taken it out for a quick run with the nipper and she has only gone and pulled the pull start string out so it wont recoil ( very nice of her ). I have taken the pull start off and WOOOOOSH out springs a coil, am i shafted?

NOO the hpi CVD's are worse than the stock dogbones!!!

you can make mt2 dog bones fit. stronger (well there thicker so)

The new bullet has thicker dogbones and mine have never come out they also have shock stops and O-rings inside the diff cups

you can re-coil it, get it untangled until its loose, then spend much time and nipped fingers getting it wound up again and stick it back into the pullstart, i aint gonna say it'll be easy, but it can be done.

Mine was 2wd while I waited for new dog bones and yeah it ran like a mental sheep. It spun out and really was not an enjoyable time, I got the new dog bones and packed out the axel and diff cups with nitro tube. I put slightly more in the diff cups than in the axel as the axle was the place it was popping out from when I did a tight reverse turn, took me a while to get the right amount in there but I ended up with about 2mm of movement and now it works great

MT2 dogbones are the way forward here but they need to be filed down slightly to fit

dont whatever you do buy the bullet CVDs.....as mentioned they are worse than useless
