landmaxdriver
Mad Rat gets my vote I had one and it was brilliant fun and parts are dirt cheap and easy to get
Damo666
I own a Mad Rat and really like it. Contrary to what many say, i've not found any weak parts. When you're bored of the poor performance with the stock electronics, just rip them out, ballrace it, then fit a brushless combo'. In fact, the first thing you should do is fit bearings throughout. The bundled rx/tx are of reasonable stamp so you could retain them imo.
Ross9999992
you only ever seem to hear good things about the rat

Matt Donalds
The thunder tiger is a better chassis, being a rebadged associated B3, which is an ex 2wd world champion. Matt
Si Coe
Except that the MadRat is considerably newer and has a lot of B4 features. Personally though I'd say neither. I'd skip the MadRat and go straight to the Mad Monkey. Edited June 22, 2011 by Si Coe

ch!ef
id go for the thunder tiger myself i had a mad rat before i think i must have had a bad 1 because it was if it was made from butter forever braking and screws threading there holes.prefer the b4 myself but thats just me. yes the thunder tiger is a copy of an old car but think about it its made by a well known manufacture and is a copy of a winning car but not driven 1 and i cant see many people commenting have driven 1 either so best thing would be to ask if anyone has got 1 and what they think its only the ansmann boys giving answers and saying to get a bar of fudge n ill probably get slatted for say that but hay everyones entitled to there own opinion ! danny boy
the thunder tiger is a great racer, mine has a brushless setup and and i can easily keep up with a b4. Ive got to admit that it was a bit weak up first, but when it broke i upgraded with the b3 parts. Personally i love the phoenix, great racer, and perfect round the track
Juggernaut jims
the buggy is never going see a track more road/dirt roads and possible sand dunes so either way i will be giving it a hell of a ride. so just looking for something that eventually may go brushless like a 9t - 8t just wondering if either can stand up to the abuse or just keep out of it till the blackfoot is fully restored.
