  1. So that’s quite an open route. The place I go is further to the right. It’s above the A27, below the A27 and left of the sand pits. I’ve attached a couple of pictures of what the area looks like (ignore my bike!) 😃. Plenty of jumps, open areas, the lot! The map shows the sand pits, the path to the left is where you go and you can’t miss it. The entrance of the path you can easily miss! There are many ways in though, free parking nearby too.
  2. I’m in Barnham now but the pits at Slindon are definitely not available for us to use! Halnaker windmill is fine or you can use Slindon Woods - there is a section with jumps and even an area that works like a track, but you have to be careful of the mountain bikes.
  3. The old one could! I still run 3S on my both mine Slash 4x4 - have done since I got first one 2 and 1/2 years ago and the new one at beginning of this year! Not even bothered changing gearing on new one and its fine. Yes I do get some red lights now and then on the ESC, but quick off and then back on and all good. I did put fans on both right away and run telemetry so if it gets over 150 I stop it to cool down a bit - that may be how I have had them last!!
  4. Stock with 3S I got 51, with a pinion change I got 60 and frankly it was way too fast. Put back to around 50 and depending on length of run is fast enough and still controllable!! 3S and 50mph is good fun and fast.
  5. Lol @RCB yeah that's me and Bruce, at Madam Tus. I think I look more like him now I've lost some more weight! I fixed it, I reset the TQi and all was well. I adjusted the slipper clutch and made sure all was good and then did quick check over. Thanks.
  6. My first Slash 4x4,(not ultimate one) is playing up. Speed halved, still original ESC, motor and gearing (13/54). Makes a rattling noise either with driveshaft at rear or near gearing/motor. May take video if that helps? Hitting 27mph on the iPhone speed telemetry. Tried checking gearing, slipper clutch, but nothing done there fixes it. When pulling throttle the esc flashes green, but not sure if it usually does it, not checking on ultimate version yet. Any ideas? Thanks.
  7. My boy wants a Tamiya Gravel Hound DF-02 for his birthday next week!

  8. Oh, and ESC fan added. Was pleasantly surprised to find she had the Alu bearing adapter already, but then she is the ultimate! Just means I have a spare.
  9. Mine has now had some socks put on, battery expansion done, TQi set-up on phone with other Slash and duct tape to back of shell. Battery on charge to rock n roll!!
  10. Mmm.. Parrot Bebop!!

  11. Slash finally here. Saved

Nice one! Glad to see you got it in time for some good weather this weekend to!

  12. Another 3s ordered, but just 6400mah this time! Will I ever use my 8300mah?

Presumably for the Slash? If I remember rightly, (back when I was reading into which LiPos to choose for mine( anything above the 6,4000mAh LiPos have a strange effect on the handling, I'm not sure how true it is, but that seemed to be a common complaint of the bigger LiPos.

Yes, Slash. Because of the weight? Think I may sell it before using it! It's a big lump, my 6500 Overlander 3s has been great last 2 yrs but I want a second 3s.

Yeah due to the weight bud, if it's a normal chassis that is and not a LCG chassis, apparently it's not too bad with that but in a stock chassis people hated 'em, just what I read on the American forums though, so don't take it as 100% fact.

  13. I've had my slash 2 years and still on the original vel spec - I changed the pinion to 16 and temps been good on 3s. I was expecting it to go, but it keeps on going... The combo recommended was what I heard everyone saying so would be my choice, it must be a trusted replacement.
  14. My ultimate has cleared customs! Next will be note from post office with bill! :)

I'm awaiting one myself, just when I need the bits fast because something broke so decided to upgrade while I was at it, I bet this is the first time I get properly stung, only a $45 order so shouldn't be too high.
