  1. Hi thanks for the interest, but it went on eBay for
  2. Check this out in case anyone is interested: (its mine, ) AX10 / XR10 comp crawler. Selling due to lack of funds and other commitments, VERY reluctant sale. ebay - lots of photos. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Axial-AX10-XR10-Rock-crawler-Custom-comp-build-Ready-run-See-description-/251959919297 Axial AX10 / XR10 based competition rock crawler. (2.2 sportsman class) (1:10scale) Fully ready to run, inc DX3C radio. Batteries and charger included. This competition rock crawler has been built from select parts, many from the USA, not just a modified standard kit. It is unique, having custom made chassis and other parts. It is very capable and would do well in 2.2 sportsman class competitions or just for great fun on the rocks (Brimham Rocks being one of my favorite play areas!). Having XR10 steering and over/under driven locked axles, it has a very tight turning circle and hugs the rocks (the over/under drive
  3. Hubsan x4 (107L or 107C) are superb for beginners and are still very quick when switched to "expert" mode. I had a X4 107L but replaced it with a X4 107C (2.0MP on board camera (record only), uprated motors.) and its superb, seems better than the 107L (standard model), more stable (maybe due to slightly uprated motors to carry the camera). Camera records well for a cheap quad, flies smooth and can be very agile in expert mode. "normal" mode is great for indoor round the house flying as it is so steady. Need a good stash of batteries, they only last 7 or 8 minutes and its so much fun you will want to keep going pack after pack. Flew mine indoors and in the garden (can cope with moderate breezes well for a tiny quad), took it up high above the houses to record the local area (scary in a breeze), took in to the local park, great whizzing around the trees and zooming across the park. I recommend you buy spares at same time - at least 5 or 6 packs of props, two or three batteries, a spare motor of each type (2). After that they can take a real beating. (crashed mine from about 50ft up full speed into neighbours house. It was fine! I am now selling my X4 107C to help fund a 250 size quad -hope I have as much fun.
  4. just been to a fairly local park with some great rocks (dont know why I didnt think of this one before whilst scratching my head for places to play/practice!) Good sized rocks, mostly break overs though, but some smother transitions. Lots of gaps made it tricky transitioning from rock to rock in some palces. But not bad for a half hour or so's practice. (its been a long while since I got the rig out)
  5. Hi, I am new here but have been hanging around on rccrawling.co.uk for a couple of years. I am missing rockcrawling comps (2.2 pro style comps rather than scale). I hope there is some action this year as everything seems to have just died off , there was nothing last year (I had just completed a new built rig and not comped it yet (its now over a year old!) I used to go to comps at Black Rock (Derbyshire), Curbar Edge (Derbyshire), Tees Barrage (great man made rockery), Brimham Rocks (N. Yorks - amazing rocks could hold a hundred comps there). Ran a XR10 for couple of year, then had to sell to raise funds. Now I have a partly hand built AX10 shaft driven (sportsman class), that I wanted to run (in all classes). All forums I am part of seem to have trickled to nothing recently. I am going to try and drum up some interest on our site (rccrawling.co.uk) for comps. I will post back here if I hear anything in the coming weeks/months.... It is a shame as the rc crawling scene was pretty popular a couple of years back. Often 20+ competitiors plus others at each comp. Jealous of the USA and germany where the comp crawling is pretty big. Hope theres more of us with comp crawlers in the cupboards ready to try some comps this year. regards Gavin (aka, GRay111111, aka GFresh on other forums) Tees Barrage:
