  1. Ha ha that would get a few of the d2 lads into rc
  2. Unsure as to whether or not I'll be around Tuesday due to plans for new year, might pop over Sunday tho lol. I'll see what I can do as that is a great offer I also think I am leaning toward mst as I like the rubber band drive train set up as I would be able to remove the front one to have a go at rwd one day ( along way away ) But is the 10% worth it if I was to get a mst as apposed to yokomo as radshaperc like you said is stocked mainly for yokomo, all thought cheaper track time is also a benefit I'll keep my eye out for a mst I think
  3. I have just swapped to the quicrun 1060 waterproof esc and a rebuildable 35t motor from wheel spin as they had both. http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/229312/ http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/210105/ And they are both brilliant, the motor is half the price of the rc4wd one which is the same Also the drag brake on the quicrun is superb. I am still on the old style battery's but I will be chnaging to lipos hence why I had a esc upgrade. As for servo I couldn't help you there as I am after a good waterproof one myself. As for controller I have just brought a Gt-3c as it was about
  4. I had been looking at a d3 as a mate is in the same situation as me but with a little less fund, but we want to get the same as for ordering parts and so on. Well Steve, I couldn't of asked for a better reply/write up. I will probs be going radshaperc quite a bit as that has the scale wall and the drifting as I will never loose heart in my land rover scx-10 crawler. But a friend of mine goes to soul and he has a mst VIP, what a toss up of which one to get lol. The d3 looks to be the cheapest as a ally version is only
  5. Sorry to high jack this thread a bit, but as it says scx10 steering I thought id ask a quick question I have just swapped my front c hubs, knuckles and arm to ally ( gpm racing 5 degree toe In ) What is the benefit to his as it looks very odd lol.
  6. Hi all so I now have the funds to get a drifter, What is most common or recommendations that People may have, I have started a new topic as new models are coming out all the time. I have had my eye on the mst ms-01 brushless rtr on eBay for
  7. Brill, that is the reply i was after I like the look of the turnigy hard case lipo, and not a bad price. I dont think 2s to 3s will make much difference anyway as ill only be going slow with the crawler
  8. It would seem that you have forgot to put the main bit in the thread ( the link )
  9. Thanks for the reply buddy. It will be for a scx-10 crawler, the current servo is about 10-11kg and that works fine, but more powerful the better i just wanted to upgrade it to a water proof digital servo. Thanks ben
  10. Hi all, i am more into the rc crawling side of things(at the moment), but i went to my local scale wall/drift track yesterday i realised that a few people have both ( drift and crawler ) so ovb i will be looking to buy a drifter aswell now I was on the market for some 3s lipos for my crawler, but i then thought could i just buy a battery that i would be able to use for both, Which leads me on to the question of what is the average max dimension size battery that you can fit into a drifter, something along the line of a main drifters like, mst, yokomo, tamiya ? Thanks Guys
  11. As the title, has any got one of these servo's and have any pros/cons on it ? only reason i selected this one is because it is digital and waterproof http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__41227__Turnigy_TGY_SM_4488MV_Digital_Metal_Gear_Waterproof_Low_Profile_Steering_Servo_9_2kg_0_08_Sec_53g.html Thanks Ben
  12. you do realise this post was from 6 years ago, momos just wants to know where to get a kit now (2014-2015).
  13. Quick update to my story/question lol I have now got a transmitter and am just after 2x servos and to find out about the battery's ? Thanks Ben
  14. So i have ordered loads of bits for scx10, all i need now is a waterproof servo (metal, digital) ? 2x batterys as i think they will have to sit on the rock sliders as 2speed will be in the way. will two 10c 4000mah in parallel be enough amp ( quicrun is rated at 60a ) battries will give 80a Am also looking for a good transmitter 4 channle or more Not much !!!

Yhh il that one does look good, I did like the look of the futaba 4pls but the price put me of lol. Do you know if that radio in 4ws mode can set the rear steer to a percentage of the front, And I will be using 2 speed trans and 4ws so all channels will be taken, nice to have a few spare for winch and lights and possibly dig
