  1. I am gutted to have to do this but an unexpected bill is forcing my hand. So for sale is my beloved Firstorm. This is the brushless version one previous to the current one. It's in great nick and hasn't been bashed hard at all. In fact I'd say I've probably spent more time stripping and maintaining it than actually running it! There are the usual marks on the underside and there are a couple of the esc heatsinks are bent. A few of the screws have a little rust on the heads but everything else is grand. This will come with 2 5000mah 2s lips, a lipo charger, 2 brand new rear tyres, grease, and shock oil. All manuals are also included. I've included some pics. I can take more if needed and I will of course give it a good clean before it goes to its new owner. Given the lack of use and extras I'd be after
  2. Managed to get them off! I was able to grab the sides with pliers and after a bit of twisting manage to get them unscrewed. Now does anyone want to point me in the right direction of the best place to get new ones, I know you can get proper HPI ones on modelsport, but is there anywhere better? I could do with other sizes as well actually as there's a few others looking a little rusty and I should probably replace them sooner rather than later. Is it possible to buy a full set of screws for a specific model, or is it just a matter of buying individual ones?
  3. I've a small screwdriver I could try that with. There's no thread locker on it, its gotten a little rusty though so that probably didn't help.
  4. Argh!!! I have 2 rounded 1mm hex bolts and they're driving me mad. I don't have a dremel or any other way of cutting them so is there any other way to get the bloody things out?
  5. Thanks for the replies. I think I'll give boiling them a go tonight. Am I right in thinking that normal superglue is OK for sticking the new tyres on?
  6. I've a new set of rear tyres to put onto my Firestorm and I have come across quite a few tutorials that recommend boiling the wheel to make removing the old tyre easier. Has anyone here tried this? The lengths of time to boil for seem to vary dramatically depending on what tutorial I read! So I'm not sure what the best approach is. Or if this isn't such a good idea, are there any other methods people recommend?
  7. Would you split off those two rear tyres and wheels that are currently on the Firestorm and sell them separately?
  8. Can anyone point me in the direction of any useful tutorials on camber and alignment? I know the theory of how to physically adjust the turnbuckles, but I'd like to know the best way to set it all up. I'm running an E Firestorm Flux if that makes any difference.
