  1. Weve been using the cheap chinese copy rally wheels and tires off Ebay and tbh there doing quite well. Good grip, they do let the car slide but without the horrible traction rolls of the HPI tyres. On dry tarmac/pavement they wear out quite quick, maybe 8 -12 lipo batteries through, but damp/wet or loose surface running and they last alot longer.
  2. Was ALOT of fun - plenty of carnage and alot of rubbing door handles. 5 laps with a joker goes quick!! :-D Sadly no videos were taken, we'll get some next time.
  3. Pic at the start of our WR8 Rallycross race!!
  4. Go right down the bottom in the app i think!
  5. All you WR8 fans i have my second totally standard 2013 livery Kenblock GRC WR8 flux with extras for sale in the for sale section.
  6. For sale is my second HPI WR8 Flux Ken Block 2013 GRC Ford Fiesta. Awesome cars that can do incredible things on road and off and with the right gearing and 3s battery will do 60mph. The car is in very very good condition having only been used a handful of times and is in perfect working condition. The original Black GRC bodyshell has never been used and has sat in the box since the day it was bought so it is MINT and not a scratch on it, the white shell included is the one that has been used on the car and will come as a spare shell for the buyer. It is still on its original tyres and it also comes with a BRAND NEW set of 4 HPI Ken Block GRC blue wheels (cost
  7. Those tie rods look nice! Decent price aswell Ive done a little mod on my WR8. The front bumper seems to be very weak where the body post screws through, and even the slightest roll over can lead to it breaking the top half of the bumper bar. So ive made a carbon plate to sit under the top section of bumper and screw through to the lower one, then the bodypost screw goes through this carbon plate and the plastic to give it a fighting chance of surviving for once lol Top section where they always break (in the red ring) ! Template was made of the top section of bumper, then added an extra 3-4mm around it, to give abit more strength. Modified the underneath of the top section of bumper (see the cut marks - removed 8mm either side) to allow for the sweep of the carbon plate. So it sits like this! Then all bolted back together, ready to be fitted.
  8. Thats the plastic skid plate viewed from underneath. It runs the full length of the chassis from the front skid plate till it passes the rear hinge pins for protection and extends outwards till just before it touches the front and rear arms to avoid contact, whilst following the shape of the fiesta body down the sides..
  9. I will do. The carbon plate under the chassis is actually a 3mm thick (carbon look) plastic skid plate that runs the full length of the car to protect the underneath. I'll get a pic of it tomorrow for you's!
  10. Been messing around with my WR8 and have moved the motor and centre diff back on the chassis aswell as the battery to put a little more weight towards the rear. This meant moving the esc and receiver box forward to make a better balanced chassis. Also installed an HPI SF20w servo to replace my ever slowing standard servo. Tested in on sunday whilst racing a couple of mates with WR8's and the back end is alot more stable in higher speed corners and doesnt seem to be so nose heavy over jumps and braking.
  11. Clears everything fine tbh except the back wheels where its a little close, but if you crease the body around the original lines when its fitted it gives another 10mm clearance. Ive also fitted a small tamiya screw in body post mount at the front and rear so its held securely with body pins.
  12. Thanks. Its been rolled a few times, The uprights are still intact, theyve broken the bodyshell before theyve broke! LOL.
  13. Here's a pic of my own custom WR8 Fiesta bodyshell with homemade spoiler with carbon fibre uprights!!. Made using an Abu Dhabi shell. Also have a slightly modified WRC Ford Fiesta rally bodyshell, as i didnt like the green on it, so have cut it all off! How it sits now on its slick and new shell. Dont know if you guys have done it but ive trimmed an Hpi Trophy flux bodyshell to fit underneath for protection from crap getting into the car when its on dirt, grass or wet!
  14. HI, Just been given a Team Orion Carbon Pro Lipo, 7.4v 2s 6000 100c, would the WR8 esc and motor take this or is it too much??
