Ec3 connectors are not to hard to solder.

Ec3 are the easiest to solder :)

  2. As it's summer and everyone's begging to get there RC's out, anyone from the sussex area around to meet up? Personally im from bognor but dont mind travelling, i have a car? But ive personally never been to a official track, all i know is that there is one from shorham and one in clanfield! Hopefully there's some people out there
  3. Got my 12v acid lead battery! whipped to b&q and got some spade connectors! Hopefully the postie will bring charger tommorow! then we all good to go
  4. Ive got a voltage checker somewhere yes, very important tool for the heli's that! Should of used that to check really
  5. Good set up in term's of oils for a losi 8ight 2.0 nitro buggy? some say 3-5-7?

  6. Fixed my problem with the servo! Now just need the postman to be kind and deliever my battery tommorow so i can actually power this starter box!

Dodgey battery i think.. It was reading as fully charged but wasnt playing ball, managed to swap it for another and the problem hasnt occured yet! So when i get it running we will see

  7. Well pottering around in the garage and manged to find another spare battery which seemed to be fully charged! So i connected it to the reciever and turned everything on and the voltage thing doesnt drain now! And it all seems to be okay! so maybe i just had a duff battery! Panic over! But thanks for your help guys! It might just be luck of the draw and the same thing may happen when i run it but we will see!
  8. Right give me a minute and ill just upload it to my youtube account... Not sure why i didnt just think of that haha
  9. No mate bought a losi 8ight 2.0! But this servo is just bugging me because I can't open the throttle up without it all going pear shape! Can you post videos somehow? Luke
  10. right i have a problem and its bugging me.. I have a 1400mah and a 1500mah receiver hump back battery, i plug it in turn it on with the receiver it all connects... If i was to open the throttle but hold it for more than 2 seconds, the tx beeps crazy and says there's low voltage in the rx battery, then the servo's spaz out and you can't do anything. I have a video but not sure how to post it on here.. Is there a possible fix for this? My only theory might be to maybe put a bigger battery in there, maybe 2300mah?
  11. Okay so i own a smarttech bigfoot, the clone of the fg monster and i brought a pipe for it ages ago but for one i struggled getting it on as the gap between the pipe and the manifold was small and it hard to get a screw between it with a alan key to tighten it! I was wondering if there was any decent pipe's that people would recommend.. Also, random thought but would i be able to turn the engine around? so the manifold faces the rear of the car.. Could be easier to fit a pipe then..? Luke
  12. Garage. Allways the garage! Can't get away with storing 3 1/5 scales indoors! Although the heli's sit in the office on a shelf and get repaired on the dining room table!
  13. Post takes too long -.-

  14. With no electrics you have no control of the engine, so if everything engages it won't plan to stop. Try it with electrics, it'll solve the problem
  15. Either spektrum telementry is bad or my car has problems, when i hold down the throttle it beeps and said low voltage on the rc even tho its fully charged? and then the throttle gets jammed and it goes into poo mode! Its hard to test properly becuase my acid lead hasnt arrived so i can only power starter box of my fully fully charged nihm sticks

    1. Oh How Original

      Oh How Original

Spektrum is at fault, it's well known for it's reading faults.

Yeah. Have a read up on possible ways to set it up properly. Do you have a digital servo or servos on it? Ive read a bec or watever it is helps with high draw servos could be part of the issue. Altho I don't know if it applies to nitro too?

Make sure to never plug the batt into any of the tel ports or its instantly fried. Spectrum should have done the tel ports vertical to help avoid that cos loads have done it by mistake.

Yeah never plug the battery in the tele ports that's silly! Reckon it might be better if I disconnected the telemetry leads from their ports and see if that works? All this telemetry stuff is new to meh
