???? so how much am I going to need for a half decent 1/8th scale? Quite like the size of them! Thinking about going to the local model shop over the weekend to have a look! Thanks for the info!

Ouch 20 minutes? That doesn't sound fun! If needs must then yes I will spend a little extra on the extra batteries and charger! Also quick question. What's the difference between the 2 types of electric cars and what's better?

Hi guys! Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I'm completely new to RC! Looking for a car to get me started, looking to spend 100/150 pounds for something RTR. Looking for something like the fiesta wr8 kinda shape and size. Not too bothered if it's electric or nitro! Just something to get me started! Would also consider something along the lines of the HPI trophy! Thanks!!
  5. Ah sweet!! Yeah the wr8 is a bit pricey to start with but I'm hoping to get a lot of use out of it. Wether it be in the car park at work, on a track or even at the local bmx tracks!
  6. This is rather noobish of me.... What's a Truggy?
  7. Spent the last few days reading up on running them in. Can't wait to get stuck in. Just need to decide what car I want!
  8. Thanks for the welcome! Thanks for the advice. Would you say to buy new or buy used to start off? Will be going to the Rc shop in Edinburgh to have a nosey either Thursday or Friday.
  9. Thanks for that Alex! I've already seen that one but I wasn't to sure of it being a decent brand. Looks like that could be the purchase to get me started!!
  10. Hello everyone! As the title says I'm a complete newbie to the RC world. As of yet I haven't bought any cars and I was looking for a bit of a helping hand when it comes to picking one. I love the noise of the nitro engines but I'm looking for either a fiesta or a focus rally car, which I have noticed are predominantly electric. Is there much difference when it comes to speed and overall fun factor? I know the nitro engines probably take up more maintenance time etc but tbh I wouldn't mind a few quiet nights away from the missus! ( I never said that) also what brands should I be looking at/ staying away from. Any input is much appreciated. Oh and btw I'm Stoogz!
