  2. Linky PC? lol Thanks alot guys you don't know how much this helps me out, now I just gotta get the wife to approve the inventory I need lol. I get paid this weekend so I'm going to order all the conversion parts to get it ready, and if I have enough maybe a motor or esc , gotta do a little at a time =). Now as far as custom Bodies where do you recomend going? Oh and I would like to put the Proline Badland Tires on but not sure for the Rims...Any suggestions? I'm getting so excited I wish I was rich so I could do it all at once man lol... But the Veterans Association does not pay that well lmao. Maybe one day I can fly out to England and we can race lol I would definitely have to stop off in Amsterdam though LOL!! OK guys enjoy your week Can't wait to hear what ya got for me next time I log on =) Sm
  3. Thank you both so much for your info, but I have some detailed info I need to wrap this up. Goal: To run fast, have torque and to have a nice run time between pit stops, and of course Waterproof. Battery: What Brand? What mah is best? 2s 4s or 6s, and How many of them. Motor: What brand? kv? ESC: I do want the 150Amp, but what is a Good one that will handle what I want? and What's the Difference between Sensored and Sensorless? BEC: What the heck is that? lol Diff Gear: What tooth size should I change it to and depending on the Motor whats a good Mount for it other than the HPI one? OK I think thats it lol Thanks again for the help, I been away from R/C for a while and back then we used Crystals, and Brushless was just starting to get attention and I liked Nitro back then but with my Disability getting worse and the fact that I don't want to wait on my 16 year old son to help me I need to go the Easy way, man I bought this Truggy last month and I have yet to get a run out of it...it's just sitting on my shelf, I wanna play lol. Thanks All!! Sm
  4. Hey all I'm about to buy all the parts to convert my Trophy Truggy 4.6 to Electric. I have been looking over Combo's for it and came across the Sidewinder 8th Combo for $220.00, is this a good combo for my truggy and is the price ok? or should I be looking for something else? Being this is my first conversion from Nitro to Electric any tips would be appreciated. I definitely want brushless and I want MUCH battery power so I can go out to play and have some time to run it and not have to change batteries every 20 minutes. I was thinking of going with 2, 2s Lipo Batteries 5000mah, is that too much battery power? do I only need one? or should I go higher? and as far as a radio is concerned I would like to add a 5-6 piece light bar for the roof and a 2 piece light bar for the front bumper. Should I get a 3 channel or 4? I just wanna keep my options open for future added items so if I do add things I don't have to go out and get new gear. Anyways there are my questions, lemme know what ya think all suggestions are welcome and oh one more thing I want to get a new body for it with a custom paint job, where can I go to find a company that will do this? Thanks again all!! -SmAk
  5. Hello, Can someone please help me before I go nuts lol I want to convert my Truggy from Nitro to Elec but I can't find the conversion parts ANYWHERE, I have looked and scoured the net and I don't know if I am finding it and just don't know it's compatible with mine or what. But I tell ya what I'm tired of trying to get this engine to idle right without cutting out, I'm a disabled Veteran and bedridden most days so when I'm feeling good enough to go out and play I don't want to sit outside and screw with this foofen engine for hours and watch my son charge his car over and over and play lol. I don't know what I will need but I'm guessing the 2 side trays to extend it out, a motor mount, battery tray and a motor and ESC I want to go Brushless and Lipo if I do this im gonna do it right. Also do you use 1 or 2 lipo batteries on this? and if 2 can I put 2 5000 4s Batteries in it or will one be sufficient? Anyways Please help, I need links and advice, I know how to build cars i'm not a novice but the new Brushless and Lipo stuff is new to me, so I don't know what type of ESC to get or Motor, I know I want it to hit high speeds and be able to toast the Nitro version. I would like waterproof, system, I have the servos and radio/transmitter picked out I'm going with a 4ch and servos are top notch so Im good there. If anyone has anything I could use the help. Thanks and Hope to hear something soon!! =) Andy aka SmAk
  6. Hello I just got the Roto Start 2 for my TRophy Truggy 4.6 and I had to Take the top part of the rear bumper off with my Dremel tool and I still have to have someone lift my right tire so the roto can go all the way to the engine. Now it works but its a pain in the azz and was wondering if someone had an easier solution (other than to get a Starter Box lol) Anyways any help is appreciated!! Ruthless Sm
  7. Hey all =) Happy 4th!!! Anyways I'm not really new to RC but I've been out of it for a while about 8 years, shoot the last time I ran my cars Crystals were still out lol. and I never heard of Brushless lol. OK heres my issue I want to get a new Radio, receiver, and servos for my HPI Trophy Truggy 4.6. right now I'M using stock. I'm not going to race it, it's just for casual fun to hang out with my son and teach him the hobby. Now I'm a Disabled Army Veteran (yes I live in the USA) lol anyways as you know the VA don't pay very well so I would like to keep the costs down but at the same time I want good equipment ie..Waterproof, Metal, HT,HS Servos Iv'e seen Futaba's for around 80 each thats not bad. When I had my Revo and T-Maxx before I bought a Futaba Radio and I was Happy with it and I learned to use it pretty well, the question is, do I need to run FASST or FHSS? and I do plan on adding to my collection in the future, like the Savage 5.9, either the HPI D8S Nitro or the HPI Pulse 4.6 haven't decided on it yet. Also looking into a couple electric street cars, like the Traxxas XO-1(not crazy about Traxxas though) so IM also looking at the OFNA GT-V2e F-Type or CV-Type not sure what the Difference is between the two. OK now that I have chatted your eyes off lol I will let you all reply and see what your responses are. Thank you for your Help in Advance and I hope to hear something soon! =) Thanks! -Ruthless-SmAk
