  1. The servo works I put some electrical tape round it but if it goes again I can just use my spare. Only reason I want to use this one is it has metal gears and accordion to the guy in the shop if I hit something hard it is less likely to strip the gears as it would apparently do with a plastic one which is my spare.
  2. Have you tried taking it out of the tube from the length you describe it sound like you have a similar receiver to me although mine is a non branded one I can get a good 500 - 600m Range on an open field (And that's only as I reach a building a one end and the trees there I am stood). Have you tried running it somewhere wide and open the signal should travel better if there are no obstacles especially if they contain hight amounts of water as the 2.4GHz frequency has real trouble penetrating.
  3. Thanks guys i have sent a email last night explaining all the details waiting for a reply soon I hope.
  4. Yeah I know only run it twice so far that us better than the one run I manage on nitro when the new engine exploded during run in. Fix one issues and another arises. Still trying to find out if it is possible to short out a channel on my receiver.
  5. Here is the servo cut as you can see it went through all the orange wire but only skimmed the red and didn't touch the browns . With a bit of tape holding the wires together it still works perfectly. http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/30028-/
  6. there is no damage to show on the receiver unless you mean the servo but the servo is tested and working I am wondering if I have shorted the receiver.
  7. I think I have done something really stupid again I was testing my new radio I had it working quite well then put the pinion on my car I tested again and the car accelerated nicely I was also testing the steering and it turned then stopped turning and wouldn't respond but the throttle would respond. I switched the throttle and steering and the steering worked on the throttle and the throttle didn't work on the steering wheel. On closer inspection my servo has caught the drive shaft and the cable had split. The servo then stopped responding all together once I had put some electrical tape round it and on the trigger it then worked again if I put it on channel one it still didn't respond but if I put it on channel three it worked. Is it possible to short out a channel on a receiver it's brand new and I just got it today with my new transmitter should it not work or should it work. I don't want to say it doesn't work to modelsport who I bought it from as I think I am the one who broke it so is it possible that it wasn't me or is it most likely that my stupidity has cost me again. 8. Sorted the issue like a dream it now works even better than before looks like this might have been the issue with my nitro engine revving on it's own and why I swiched to electric. The manual is nice to have also I know how things work really nice.
  9. Thanks for that site might get a few pairs of them at that price just need to see if my new radio works tomorrow
  10. Just bought a new radio thanks for you help guys I am going to cross my fingers that it works spend a bit more than I wanted but it has nothing other than good reviews its a Carson Reflex Pro 2 with FHSS seemed to have nothing but good reviews so went for it be nice to get a radio with instructions.
  11. Not really don't have a spare radio or esc, was looking for a cheap radio just to test and just missed out on one on eBay that went for
  12. Moving the endpoints just seem to turn the speed down that's all tried moving them all bit by bit one at a time and together but same issue just keeps occurring. Also found that using the trigger for steering works fine with no issues. When I say it has not got wet just tried taking the batteries out and putting them in again and I have some greasy watery substance on the battery bay but that is not connected to anything as you can take it out. Looks like I might need a new one don't really want to spend that much but don't want a piece of tat either what would people suggest.
  13. The throttle trim is fine I have checked in over and over and it is in the right position. Not too little so it takes load of pressure to get a response and no too much so it runs constantly.
  14. I can do one better just done a video couldn't work out if I could upload it here so it's on youtube
  15. Thanks for the responses I am going to be looking all over for good deals.
