  1. Was still running fine after 4 runs which is when I normally strip it down for maintenance anyway so a definite improvement. Thanks for your help.
  2. Thanks for the reply. The OWB is fine even after the shaft is worn so I think your right, just a bit too much rpm and power. I'm going to reduce the punch on the ESC a bit and lay off the 3cell lipos and see how that goes. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to renew the bearings... Should you oil, grease or leave the OWB alone ? Good tip on flipping the shaft, never occurred to me to do that. ****** now that I threw the old ones away..
  3. Thanks for the above, very useful. Do you have any tips on making the rear wheel axle last longer ? I've converted the bike to a brushless system with a Castle SW3 and a 5700kva motor. Goes like stink, especially on 3s lips but I only get about 3 runs on the rear shaft before the OWB has worn a smooth indentation in the shaft, so that it doesn't bite anymore. Ive tried replacing the bearing and the shaft together, shaft on its own, greasing with lithium grease, oiling, not greasing/oiling but the result is always the same. It may just be the way it is on the motor setup I have but any tips would be gratefully received. Apologies if this is the wrong thread for this so please forgive a humble forum newbie!
