  1. Hi, ok so far, its quite funny and tough, few problems at the beginning mostly for lack of experience anyways, if you decide to buy it, i'd suggest you change the whole clutch with a better 3 shoes one, change the air filter with a non waterproof as my was getting full of sand and dirt and to help not having trouble with starting it, as I got, i'd suggest a starter box, so no need to remove the pull cord to replace with a rotostart but its also an alternative, cheers
  2. i've been reading around as it seems the same issue of the half tank lean for the Savage, lots of solutions which work for some people, at the end the issue seems to be that while the fuel is going down the air pressure inside the tank changes instead of staying the same, so solution would be to change tank, or change position of the pressure nipple in the tank (mine is on top of the tank and it would go on the bottom) other solution to make the fuel line from the tank to the carb shorter as possible, or I fought to buy couple of T connector so the pressure in the tanks will be the same for both coming through the pipe and the rule as well coming from the tanks, so first of I'll try to shortener the line between the tank and the carb, as soon as I get the T connector will try these, as don't like to fit another pressure nipple, my last try will be a new tank, I saw a traxxas one which is 105cl and it may fit or couple of Kyosho 125cl which are pre mounted on 3.0cc engine ( like the one I've got)
  3. hi there, thanks for the reply, yes it is 7mm outside diameter and the crankshaft diameter is 5 I could not find any 5x7 but then I found a 5x8 ( arrived yesterday) which was super cheep so I bought 2 for test, and with a bit of effort I fit these into the clutch bell, and working good, not sure thought if I damaged the inside of the ball bearing but so far it is spinning thanks anyways
  4. can you get some pics of your car and your pals?
  5. that was my first guess, too much empty air, but then wouldn't we get the same issue on other bigger tanks? I mean, I have e Trophy Truggy with a 125cl, which means that when I run on a quarter of the tank I should get the same issue but it doesn't happen, I also have another car with a 150cl, same as the truggy no problem, th evolution given with etra fuel line between the carburetor and the tank, does not make much sense as for the video I saw they say that it helps since you have more fuel already in the line, but then with the fuel filter I still get more fuel in the line, so I'm blind, and yes, temperature goes higher as soon as the first tank gets empty, which for above tank situations (truggy etc) didn't make sense, I could setup the engine with the second tank so I don't get high temperature and make sure that it is not too lean but again, when on first tank the car runs slow on top speed, now I was thinking to buy a 125cl tank and adapt to see how ti goes but don't know which one
  6. all sorted with engine and new clutch bell, plus I've installed a second stock tank, so 75cl+75cl=150cl, now I can run it for about 10 minutes before I run out of gas, thing is that on second tank it gets leaner, I checked on the web and the Savage with a 160cl seems to suffer of the sam problem, solution I found for the savage is to make a hop on the line tube that goes to the carburetor, i did try id and still same issue, although I have an hip fuel filter running between the carburetor and the second tank, so I assume, basically this already sort the tube extra loop. does anyone know or care to explain why this is happening? I still could not find a reasonable reason. thanks
  7. hi there, I did what the video says and tested with different batteries, but still the charger would not discharge properly, so I gave up and bought a new charger, the Equilibrium EVO Touch, tested different batterie packs, hump pack included and this one gives me satisfaction so thanks again for your support
  8. thanks a lot, i'll give it a try and let you know of the outcome
  9. what I mean is ... while discharging I set it to 4.5V, when done I tested it and the tester was showing 6.12V, so I lowered the V up until I went to 0.10V discharging, and when the charger was done, end discharging, I checked with a tester and I got 5.85V, which is still high according to your data so no way do go lower is there a way to calibrate the voltage?
  10. ok I'v discharged the pack, after many test I get the charger to show 0.10V then checked the pack on a tester to read it and it shows 5.85V what does it mean? is the charger not discharging correctly? i'll try to charge it back and see what I get
  11. ok, il try to discharge and check the voltage, i'll let you know thanks for now
  12. I've just finished a charge battery pack is 5 x 1000mha 1.2v - tot. 6v x 1000mha discharged at 0.9a per cell charged back at 0.3a, it took 2hr 20 minutes, and at the end it charged a total of 668mha and the finishing V is 7.51v checked with the tester it says 7.16v batteries are hot, but still can hold them and not burning so is it good? do I need to change the charger? it does not sounds good to me ((
  13. thanks again for the reply, I start getting it when you say 0.3c is it 0.3 of the total capacity of the cell? like if it is a 900mha this means that I should charge at 0.3mh?
