I don't know the exact material but the gears have stripped with this motor before so they would definately strip with a brushless.

My gears are plastic and they will strip due to the power of the motor

It will probly cost more because I would have to upgrade the gears motor and esc.

Hi thanks guys. I'm going to buy the ftx vantage once the car I have at the moment packs in ,Would the ftx vantage be able to stand going up ramps and jumps though?

Hi I've decided I'm gonna just leave it and try too keep it as cool as possible and once it breaks (motor/gearbox/esc) I'm gonna probly buy an ftx vantage because it's not worth spending anymore money on the mad monkey.

Yeah I changed the gearing a few days ago because the original motor was burning the cables it got that hot so u replaced it with the hpi firebolt .Then a few months later the new motor Began to get quite hot aswell. Then the gearbox broke so I replaced it and now the motor is still getting too hot and the esc is now getting too hot aswell.

Hi I brought a new esc and hpi firebolt motor for another car (15t) it worked great until the gears stripped and the gear for the driveshaft broke. Anyway I replaced the whole gearbox including spur gear then it worked fine but the hpi firebolt has begun to get quite hot and so did the esc. But the esc was a lot hotter than the motor. the motor heating up due to the esc heating up or do I need a new motor/esc ?
