  1. Hi guys, i have a hugely upgraded Revo 3.3 with pretty much every hop up you can think of, rpm arms, foc, picco max engine, traxxas cvds, techno wing mount, 23mm proline wheels, the list just goes on. Over the years I've pumped way over a £1500 into it, does anyone still do nitro? Is it worth me getting rid of it? Shes been used and enjoyed so isn't a shelf queen but she kicks ass in the nitro department. What do you think? I've also got a decent hpi truggy flux sitting around, Both need a tx/rx. If anyone thinks their worth putting up I'll take some photos. Sent from my POT-LX1 using Tapatalk
  2. No worries, i tend to pick up a couple at a time as I'm always adding to my collection and i like them all on the same handset with their own profiles. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383614811721 I used to run the gt3c, to be honest it was the best tranny I've ever run, the only draw back was the battery so i went to the cr3p and back to aa's, I liked it so much when i dropped it and broke it i bought another, there are loads of variants, even turnigy make a model compatible. They are so cheap i normally have two or three spares in my tool box, when they break they go in a different box and once every year or so i solder some antenna coax on the broken ones and repair them. 3. You definately can't, they use different protocols, the beauty of the fltsky is high can pick up afhds receiver for pennies on eBay..i run all my cars on this system which is an absima cr3p but identical to your fly sky Sent from my POT-LX1 using Tapatalk
  4. I've burnt out brushed motors on their first run, it's luck of the draw. Im running 3 craze horse esc combos on 3 of my touring cars, one is for speed and two are drifters, for this in purpose the esc is excellent, not sure if i would chance it on the granite though. I bought a surpass 120a brushless motor eBay for about £25, i also have a couple of 120a esc's, a hobbywing quicrun 120 and a hobbyking xcar 120a, both were about £30 but not sure if they are strong enough for the granite. 5. If you're running the stock brushed esc and it's over a month old it did well. Pick yourself up a nice hobbywing 1060, or upgrade and go brushless. You don't regret it. Sent from my POT-LX1 using Tapatalk

  7. It's likely to be your balance lead on the lipo battery. One of the wires isn't making contact Sent from my POT-LX1 using Tapatalk
  8. Hi guys, so i was looking around my workshop earlier and my old truggy flux caught my eye, she was/ is a great machine but i notice that hpi are no more, i checked our favourite online shop and spares look limited. With the doors closed on hpi does anyone still make parts or are these cars obselete? Mine is in great working order but i won't bash it if i can't fix it. Any thoughts fellas? Cheers Sent from my POT-LX1 using Tapatalk
  9. For anyone reading this having the same problems i found it was the motor/ esc combo. I threw in a cheap eBay brushless 60amp setup and the problems stopped. The motor itself burnt out a few runs anyway, cheap car, cheap electronics. Sent from my POT-LX1 using Tapatalk
  10. Hey guys, my boy and i are new to drifting but been running rc for years, over 20 years for me but this issue has me stumped. I can't replicate this, only the boy can but when about 30 ft away and he's on and off the throttle it's like the throttle will stick for a second, sometimes causing a bump. Here's what I've tried. Different rx and tx Different brand rx and tx Different esc and motor Different brand esc Glitch buster cap Center points set Antenna relocated All work shop stock thankfully. By now i was getting peeved so i got him to try mine, same issue. Again, i can't replicate it myself but I've seen it happen and watched his hands whilst listening to the car. Anyone ever seen anything like this? Stay safe Sent from my POT-LX1 using Tapatalk
  11. Hi guys, so i bought my son the above as we started going to a drift club. He quickly burnt the first motor out so i picked up a hpi 17t, we were running in a car park today and after speed runs the motor cooked and blew on its maiden run. This raised a couple of questions, firstly the car is sold as a drifer and does that well, i put some rubbers on it and off we went, is drifting gearing different to on road normal gearing? Also i plan to pop a brushless combo which brings the same question, will i need to regear from brushed drift to brushless on road? The motor massively over heated Thanks,. Mike
  12. The metals shafts bend with rpm arms, avoid that combo if you jump Also, check your PM's Laters Sent from my P9000 using Tapatalk
  13. The summit shafts hold up much better than stock. Minor alterations but much much stronger The traxxas's cvds are junk, you want to change the arms to rpm and fit summit shafts. End of the problem. Sent from my P9000 using Tapatalk
  14. I didn't think the truggy was strong enough for 6s, it seemed quite frowned upon when I mentioned it here a year or so back? Sent from my P9000 using Tapatalk
