  1. I think the general consensus was that whilst we tried varying different wheel/tyre combos, in the main, the HPI versions always ended up being superior. I went through a number of cheaper alternatives that shredded after just one run so am now back to HPI.
  2. Have spoken to HPI this morning and it is a dead transmitter! Quite annoying as I've had very few issues with the car itself which has taken a lot of punishment! The transmitter on the other hand has been well looked after and hasn't been damaged but has given up the ghost. The good news is that I have found them on eBay for
  3. No changes on the electronic side. I must admit I haven't tried rebinding as I can't see that the transmitter has power. Stupid question but wouldn't the red light on the transmitter come on even if it wasn't now bound to the receiver?
  4. The red light on the transmitter doesn't come on so I don't think it's a binding issue sadly
  5. Right, so I've installed the full Integy suspension kit plus the motor mount.....went out to have a thrash round and.....nothing! The transmitter has just died! Changed the batteries for a brand new set just in case but it's totally dead, no read light or anything. Does anyone have an idea of what has happened or do I just put it down to bad timing and the thing is shagged? Assuming it's died a death are there any recommendations or do you just go with an HPI replacement?
  6. To be honest I think you're right, I was pretty careful and having had a good look over I just can't see anything missing! Like you said, I'm just going to run it as usual and if anything falls off I'll know that's where it should have gone!
  7. So, finally got round to fitting the front part of the Integy suspension set. Still have the back part and the motor mount to get sorted. All looks good so far.... However I've obviously missed something because once I'd finished tidying the work bench I found this little chap.... Very annoying as I double checked as I went along and didn't think I'd missed anything but obviously have.....can't see where it goes either which is frustrating!!
  8. I had a look a couple of months back and I did find the odd seller on eBay however generally the integy website seemed to be it.
  9. I've only had limited run time today but so far it's a really good laugh. It's quick (relative to its size) and responsive, I have been chasing the dog round the lounge which has amused me! Definitely an indoor type thing as it's got little ground clearance so wouldn't be that much use outside although flat tarmac/concrete should be okay.
  10. I've not been able/that interested in getting out much recently due to the seemingly endless rain/wind etc so I decided to buy something I could use to pass the time......managed to get an ex-demo model from eBay!
  11. Got them from Wheelspin.... http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/196807/
  12. Personally I'm not interested in the new one, slightly annoyed that they seem to be abandoning the existing WR8! Guess I will just have to be careful with shells etc going forward!
  13. eBay bargain arrived today!
  14. Yeah, I agree otherwise you'll be going through tyres like nobody's business! Due to the weather the field out the back of mind is like straw so using the 3s with full beans is actually quite cool as it drifts all over the shot without causing too much stress on either the tyres or the engine. Wouldn't do it usually though as there's more friction and something would probably explode!
  15. Oh yeah, IMO the MadSkinz cover is a complete waste of money!
