  1. I have ended up buying a maverick strada drift car. I'm local to rc model shop direct, they have a permanent drift track so I thought why not get a drift car and use the shell on that. The maverick is also 200mm wide so the shell will fit straight on.
  2. I had seen the tamiya e30 but I couldn't find one in the uk, the only one I could find was in Germany.
  3. Just gone back in again and read the spec, it says it has dimple marks. It also says it fits 200mm chassis as standard but will work fine on a 190mm chassis with wide offset wheels. At least this way round with it being 200mm I have an option of making it work if I do get a 190mm chassis, if it was a 190mm body I'd imagine it wouldn't ever work on a 200mm chassis.
  4. Just gone back into my order, it's a 200mm shell I've bought. I better get looking for a 200mm chassis.
  5. I want to build a 1/10 road car based on a BMW e30. This might be an odd way to do it, but I've ordered this hpi shell first and I don't have a chassis. I don't plan to race or anything like that, just occasional car park use. I'm after suggestions for a road / touring chassis. I want to keep the chassis cost under £100, new or used I don't mind. Are these Tamiya TT-01 any good for the money? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-10-RC-New-Tamiya-TT01-Type-E-Chassis-Unbuilt-Kit-TT01E-TT01-TT-01-/361927330304?hash=item54448cca00:g:G~oAAOSw2gxYwH0y
  6. he's 30 and will drive on fields and mud, stuff like that's, he's used to working real cars so working on RC ones will be fine for him.
  7. My mates missus has came to me for advice, she wants to buy him his first RC car for Xmas. I'm hoping you guys can help me out with some choices. I know he wants to go electric and also he fancies something off road, either a buggy or truck. Needs to be a realistic budget of £100-200 and that must include everything needed to go out and use it. Also she is looking to buy a new one, so no second hand choices would be suitable. I'm hoping with that budget, we might just be able to get him onto something with brushless and Lipo, as he's very impressed with the speed and running times of my savage truck. So what would suitable? I've had cars for years, but I'm a bit stuck with this one. thanks in advance,
  8. I'm unsure of its age. No known issues, just a bit fiddly as with all nitros. I'll get a pic for you later.
  9. Kyosho dbx nitro buggy. Used, usual scratches underneath, bit of muck in places, Includes a new nitro starter kit that's been used a hand full of times. It could do with a fine tune.
  10. I'm up at running now, local lad set it up for me, my base settings must have been wrong. They were miles out.
  11. I'm going to let the lads from Bradford bashes have a look at it. I've got the basics in my head, but I just can't figure out why it cut out when running nicely and now won't fire at all.
