Im in Bolton to boys, live in Great Lever and just got a traxxas xo1 so not the best to take on moses gate but im lucky to have an industrial site next to me with a long road and a good size tarmac car park, i may get a truck to bash with in the future but just getting back into it at the moment- good to know there are other people in bolton who like rc

Also has anybody got an xo and using IOS 8 on there apple device?

Jesus i dunno about a 100 in the dark dont think ive got the balls for it yet but may attempt that in the future. just trying to sort out which batteries im going to get or which would be best

I spoke to my local model shop and they are going to order one for me when im ready to do so and they are doingbit at the same price as everyone else unless i find it cheaper they will price match. Cheers dave i may take u up on that one day and i think im just going to practise on a wheel radio as it saves time, money and hassel. You got a good point mate as you get 2 cars for 1. I am still going to get an XO but im defo going to build a car as a project at the moment im also thinking about which lipos to get as initially im prob not going to take it past 50 or 60mph for a while any recommendations on the best brands or cheapest prices? One thing i was worried about was the XO comes with a different rc controller then what ive always used. Im used to the old school stick systems and im sure you can change to one however i know the Xo controller actually holds and connects to an ipod or iphone to give you a live dashboard any ideas how i could get round this or should i just get used to the controller it comes with as im sure i would be able to however i still prefer stick control

Dave- ive got no cars left anymore as i got ridof them a few years ago but used to own a tamiya fighter buggy and a hpi savage truck. Since then ive been into drones and currently ive got a mini drone and a parrot AR which i love. I think after looking at peoples advice im probably still going to go for an XO but then im going to also build a buggy or truck to bash about with. Im going to use the XO to use on meets and test it on airfields and events, some of the case mods look amazing that ive seen and theres alot of 3rd party parts being made that you can upgrade with if you want. Not going to buy them yet going to do around christmas

It does look like that way to me to mate they are a good company they just need to stop thinking they are untouchable - i think the XO is way overpriced however there is still a market for it i.e me but that funny car was a joke. And TmaxxDave i live in great lever near town centre pal

Thanks i hate you Tamiyacowboy you have made me think about it again lol but tbf you do have a point and i prob would love to build one i may even do both, the reason being i just made abit of cash selling some things i had in the house which i have actually never paid for in the first place so was thinking of blowing it on an XO but now i may even build a car- you can actually build an XO to from scratch i think ????

Taken on board everything thats been said so thanks everyone for the advice ive decided im going to get an XO. But im going to use this as a means to go to meetups and maybe some airfields to use the full power i know without unlocking the 100mph feature it can hit 80mph which im sure will be more then enough - Now to get the cheapest price anybody got any advice on the best places to buy from? Yeah your right there is not much places in bolton lol however there is a public road behind my house but is more like a back road to businesses and its pretty much dead all the time and is totally empty on a sunday its about 6-700 metres long so i can use that but prob no other place to use. I will consider coming down to bury it sounds good dont know if i will be any good at racing now but always up for it, might pop in to bolton model mart and see what they have
