  1. Would be nice to see your shopping lists etc for these builds!
  2. Sorry for the toddler part there fella! My wife just read the post and gave me a clip round the ear and told me not to be an arse! They sell them at my local hobby store and I'll happily go down to see them about this and get his advice. Simon tooley from Britain's got talent fame!
  3. Seems a good deal to me. Ensure your local hobby shop supplies spares and take into account that its very light so a slight breeze will affect its stability which to be honest will limit your time out flying with it! I recently bought a twister quattro-x as my upgrade from the husban and aswell as waiting to find parts and limited time flying due to the weather (wind and rain etc) I've learnt my lesson in what the difference is between a toy grade quad and a hobby grade quad. Its all down to personal preference really and you will find that out. I think the quadcopter in question would be best suited to your school hall and as you fly the schools dji you could sweet talk the head into allowing you to practice there! P.S blowing bubbles is for hammers fans and toddlers!
  4. Cheerson CX-20 ZERO Version Auto-Pathfinder AKA Twister Quattro-X (Quanu...:
  5. So I took this down to tooleys rc toys today and simon gave it a good going over, checked the motor on a different ESC etc and the new motor is a duffer! Another one on order and it has been left in their capable hands to get me back in the air!
  6. Tried it all tamiyacowboy.. Multimeter reads the same at all power points from main control board to the motors! Tried its counter part in the FC and it runs fine. Back to the shop it goes where I'm hoping they'll just fix it ready for the weekend!
  7. Came with no info about plugging it into PC but I guess I'll just do it and if all goes bad I'll just sack it off as a bad choice! Very minimal damage from the crash and like I say I've now replaced the motor and ESC. Now the motor does turn but stops at 1/4 throttle!
  8. New motor and now a new ESC and still the same bloody problem! Any ideas folks?
  9. Juddering rapidly then goes out with more acceleration!
  10. Just fitted a new clockwise motor to the twister quattro x and its doing exactly the same as the on I replaced. 3 motors turn and this one looks like it doesn't know what to do. (Bit of a back and fourth motion) before it gives up! Any ideas what to check next as I want to get it out tomorrow if I can!
  11. That's pretty much the country park on my doorstep that I'll be using for the first several flights, no one really goes there! I got the props because simon gave me a great deal on them and if they do cause any problems I'll just blame him. I have just set my sights on giving this a fair go at the moment before I decide on whether or not to build one myself. Taking into account that the more I spend on my hobby the more the wife wants spent on the house lol... She's talking extensions at the minute!
  12. So I've placed an order for the motor at my local model shop (tooleys rc toys) in Northampton. Simon also sorted me out with a set of DJI phantom self tightening props which I'm looking forward to. Hopefully I'll be back in action by the weekend at the local country park!
  13. Already stuck a notch in the summer house thanks to the crash! Now need to find a motor and a set of props.
  14. Thanks for the advise tamiyacowboy... Up nice and early to do some checking and the motor has gone. Off to the local model shop to see if they have spares. Note to self, don't go drinking with brother then buy a quadcopter and try flying it in the garden! Live and learn I suppose.
