  1. The KM engine is a little hit and miss. If you are going to build one be carefull and check the components carefully. Use oil seals from zenoah, bearings are all from the same manufacturer despite brand names. Make sure the two bottom halves of the engine when bolted together are flat if not rub these down until flat or you will never get a seal on the head. The KM 4 bolt big bore kit is generally a good base to start from use zenoah gaskets and it should be a good reliable engine. I have built many KM engines and they can be reliable as long as its built properly in the first place.
  2. I have a hitec for steering and a ace ds 1015 on the throttle and had no issues for the past 3 years.
  3. standard engines are good, depends on what you want and your budget. the RCMK is a good engine I tested one for rcmodelz a while ago and found it a good fast motor, lacked a little torque but did perform well overall. the engines stevo does at rossendale models are fast and produce good H.P for a reasonable price.
  4. never had this problem I have the poison rims and the pioneer rims for the truck and they fit fine on my hpi hexes and my km extended hubs. If anything I find them tight on my KM hexes. maybe just a tolerance issue, easily fixed with a bit of sand paper. the poison rims are solid really cant fault them, i have tried to break them.good choice of rim.
  5. most engines will fit. you just have to mount it correctly. rcmodelz still have some stock of squares to fit the yama.
  6. Check the wheel square isn't rubbing against the plastic. I had this same issue when I tested them for rcmodelz a while back. Hurrax crypton parts are fully compatible.
  7. After a year away. I'm getting a tt02 kit and need some help in choosing the right mods. I would like to make it brushless if it is not going to cost a fortune. ( I still have two bajas to keep ). Looking for mods to make the car more useable. Any suggestions welcome.
  8. Its a dragonfly pipe copy of a predator V1.
  9. Is it legitimate to question whether a company has a phone number , an email address or any sort of customer feedback the company is a member of this forum, and will always answer customer queries. It is blatant that you wish to discredit this company and there product. I know you sell a similar product and I think it is unfair that you question another manufacturers product and customer service.
  10. Is this not blatantly trying to dismiss one killswitch over another by a reputable company . Cmon moderators sort it out. There's more than one killswitch available.
  11. I would not use it. Oil should not be two colours I think it may be contaminated. I would buy fresh oil to be on the safe side.
  12. Baja parts are cheaper. Saying that the maverick is different also you can fit baja wheels if you change the hexes so plenty of tyres to choose from.
  13. No. not the end of rcmodelz, just the end of my time there. Iam 100% sure rcmodelz will continue.
  14. I have now left rcmodelz for pastures new. Dont know what I will be doing now. Might go back to my trade I would like to thank all the people I had the pleasure of meeting in the shop, it was great meeting people who shared my passion for largescale. If any of my old customers need advice on there baja I will always be contactable through here.
