    Boat

Anyone got a boat for sale? Had a very nice 29” Procat a few years back, which I loved, so looking to get a boat again. Will consider any brushless boat. What have you got?
  3. So just expanding thIs again for comment... if I ran 10 3000mah matched IR 18650 cells in parallel, that would give me a 1s 30ah pack. If I link that to an identical one in series, I end up with a 2s 30ah pack. As long as I set up a balance connection to charge each individual 1s bank of cells, I could end up with a 2s pack I could balance charge effectively on my 4010 iCharger. If each individual cell had a 20A rating does, does this increase linearly with cell count ie 10x20=200A or am I completely wrong here?
  4. The Zippy packs used to be way cheaper...
  5. Cant find them anywhere... have you seen them recently? Any links would be awesome chap! 👊
  6. @m4inbrainThat’s exacltly the bolt together kit I’d seen. Gets away from the problem of soldering damaging the cells or having to buy a spot welder... I too buy from Fogstar basically as you know what you’re getting, the deliver very promptly and often send you nice 18650 torches which are frikin fantastic.. their wholsale division has decent prices if your buying £80 worth of cells, which I would do if I were making a few bait boat cell packs.. most of the bait bait boats do run on lead acid batteries, so my thinking was these 18650 modular kits would form a good way of getting high capacity LiPo power together at a decent price. My limitation on knowledge comes from what a 21T brushes motor will be drawing current wise. I did run the motor in the baitboat briefly on 3s but it got quite warm. The 40A ESC seemed to be fin fine and is rated for 12v (3s)
  7. Sorry, my mistake, 20A not 30A. https://www.fogstar-wholesale.co.uk/product/lg-hg2-2/
  8. With the proliferation of these cells and the relative cheap wholesale price, I was wondering if anyone had made up some RC packs from these successfully? Three four or five of these in parallel the couple together in series could give some decent sized and decent capacity 2/3/4/5/6s packs... just musing over the viability. Can get decent low IR well matched cells 3000Mah 30A for less than £3 each so would be a cost effective way of making RC cell packs if space and size is not a specific issue for your application... Thoughts?
  9. Gday all Anyone seen any of the large Zippy type brick packs that used to be available? I’m after the largest packs available, like 10ah plus... Thanks in advance... 😎
  10. Whats the cell rating for these Trailmaster motors and any idea where I can get full, otor specs on them?
  11. Need a 3.2mm shaft not 5mm got lots of HW ESC’s I may repurpose... just hoped there was an easy banggood buy..?
  12. I need more speed and power BUT I need to balance that with runtime and cavitation issues. The open question is what is the go to cheapie but reliable brand of motor and ESC these days?
  13. Eh up all... been a while since I was active on here! im a little out of touch with the scene at the moment, especially Brushless motors and ESC’s and I need a pair of budget (reliable) ESC’s and motors (540) sized to replace a brushed set up in a baitboat. Also not sure of what KV rating to go for, I have 2s and 3s packs so can be flexible with that aspect.... will be pushing 12kg of boat but I need a bit more speed than the brushed set up in the boat at present. Used to be that Goole were okay budget ESC’s and motors, is that still the case? Also needs to be a 3.2mm shaft (think that’s correct?)
