  1. Would you be willing to do a price (posted) for the Revo with the tracking issues, the charger and a couple of batteries as a package?
  2. Finished rebuilding my ebay TA04 for the Iconic Cup. During a pretty standard strip down/ rebuild I fitted a new part of the rear gearbox, due to a crack in the rear belt idler bracket, sorted out the rear body posts, full set of bearings, aluminium hexes, new servo mounts, 3Racing dampers, and dropped my electrics into it (Tekin Redline 13.5 motor, Hobbywing Xtremestock ESC, Spektrum SR3500 receiver, Associated XP1015 servo). Finally rewired everything to keep it nice & tidy. Before (as it arrived): And after:
  3. Generally speaking, electric cars are 190mm, nitros are 200mm. So most Tamiya shells are nearer 190mm, give or take a couple of millimeters. A lot of Tamiya kit wheels can have a 2-3mm offset as well. I'm pretty sure my old TA05 with a Tamiya GTR shell, could just squeeze HPI 6mm offset rims in the rear arches, and 3mm in the fronts.

    Sold!

Touring car now for sale as a roller. Porsche still for sale due to eBay winner not paying for it.
  5. I think so, I've always been under the impression that the Blitzer Beetle, Stadium Blitzer and Stadium thunder were the same chassis...
  6. This is my beloved old Stadium Blitzer. I grew up looking through the Tamiya catalogues always wanting one, saved up for what felt like forever to buy it. This one must be about 20 years old now... A good few years ago I gave it a bit of an overhaul, a load of new parts from my fairly vast spares collection, a shiny new body (basher body is an original body, box art decals but unpainted), made myself an aluminium motor mount and some titanium turnbuckles. I fitted a set of 3Racing dampers (for DF03) and some Proline wellies. Hopefully have some new electrics in it soon and start getting it muddy again!

My GT2 Porsche is also for sale. Its too pretty for me to drive it, and I have nowhere to display it, so it might as well go to a good home. I bought it over 10 years ago as a battered Taisan Starcard Porsche (Tamiya part number 58172), and spent the last few years restoring it. In this time the chassis has had: New tub, complete new rear gearbox casing, new Tamiya pinion, new RC Bearings ballrace set, and the suspension and steering has all been shimmed to remove any play/ slop. The car came to me with brand new friction dampers, it still has these as I've not driven it since it was restored. It also has a basic Hitec steering servo fitted. The front & rear bumpers are very scratched, and there's a few scratches to the bottom of the wishbones/ bottom of the front gearbox, but these are only cosmetic, there are no damaged parts on the car at all. The bodyshell has been painted in Tamiya Anodised aluminium blue (quite a hard colour to photograph!), windows are tinted with Tamiya smoke paint, so are translucent. The stickers on the shell (only the front indicator lights, rear lights & rear number plate) are from the more recent GT2 release. The car has front light buckets fitted (from the Tamiya GT3 VIP shell), rear buckets will be included should you wish to try fitting them (the rear light area is painted with translucent red under the rear light stickers), there are no LED's fitted yet. The rear wing was shortened to look more like the road car version and is finished with a carbon effect film. The Tamiya wheels are painted in the same blue to match the body, and are fitted with new Tamiya slicks (not glued). Includes the original Taisan Starcard Porsche box, and a printed copy of the manual. If anyone would like any more photos, please feel free to ask. Looking for £115. Happy to send by courier, or could be collected from Bedford area. Thanks!

    Reduced price today.
  9. I finally finished my Porsche restoration... Its only taken me about 10 years...
  10. A friend of mine told me about this and I'm really hoping I can take part. I've not been active with my rc stuff for about 3 years, as I sold a lot of my favourite models to try my hand at indoor touring car racing, and the deadly-serious atmosphere really sucked the life out of it for me. But something like this sounds right up my street. Whether I can bring myself to race my beloved TA02SW Porsche shelf-queen is another matter, I may need to have re-shuffle in the collection... I just hope can get something together in time to enter!
