  1. It's funny some of you should mention running them on a kart track. At Wombwell model car club near Barnsley (which uses part of a full size kart track), they run the Oz karts.
  2. Lets not forget the weight of a large scale off road car is 10 to 25kg - smaller servos are fine on the comp cars because they generally do either front brakes or throttle and rear brakes - on something like a losi 5t I wouldn't use anything less than a Rhino due to the mass you're trying to stop.
  3. Guys, This years European championship is in France, you can follow the action on RC Racing TV. This year I'm glad to say we have a Short course class in support which should be good along with the mix of 2wd and 4wd buggys. 2017 will be in England.......
  4. There are very few differences between eco and sportsline - The eco had the bean can exhaust and the no oil friction shocks. The considerably later sports line has the side pipe and the oil filled shocks. Most other parts are the same. There is a massive void between the skills used for driving on road and off road - unless you get the set up and technique right for on road, the car will spend most of the day spinning out or going up it's own arsenal. Tyre wise, the lower the number/letter should in most cases denote the softer tyre i.e Softer 5,10,15 Harder Softer A,B,C Harder A proper track with clean tarmac will provide infinitely more fun than a carpark.
  5. Why not? I painted a 1/10 shell for someone ages ago and it I've used it for highlights.
  6. I had all those paint cans with bits in and I thought sod it lol
  7. You were supposed to ask the reason.
  8. What's wrong with the paint - there is a very good reason for the paint. I need to fit an air box so I need a tank that will allow me to do it.
  9. Mini golf - don't everyone have a course in their back garden? Mini golf - don't everyone have a course in their back garden?
  10. The air filter is a mod I did to the Leopard so I could fit an airbox to fit in with the efra rules - as you can see I use a plumbing fitting along with a bit of pond pump hose and a couple of oddified flanges either end onto an FG air fiter. Yes you do need to get on with it.
  11. As FG haven't released the new buggy yet, I decided to have a look at something new. Not wanting to splash out too much, I decided to take a look at the various buggy conversions available and decided to go with the Freeprawn racing set up. So whats been done so far I hear you ask....... Rolling chassis and bits bought from Nige - Check Call in at Triple A racing on the way home from Freeprawn to have the chassis modded - Check Play about with various servo layouts and decide on what I think will work best - Check Look at body mounts for the Grafil shell - Check Fit engine bit of the DBXL cage - Check Engine will be from Oddified Pipe will be a Samba from Freeprawn Clutch is undecided but will probably be Tourex or Oddified
